I believe the question was about war supporters, not the troops. If you could get passed your self righteous indignation, you probably could have read the question properly.

Not at all. These brave men and women lay their lives on the line for our country.

Oddly enough, a few years ago, when the conflict first started, we went to Oceanside, CA to attend a parade for returning Marines. It was great. And at the back of the parade line, were a bunch of hippies, exercising their 1st Amendment rights, trying to steal attention. But they 'supported' the troops, I guess, right?

No. Not even close. The troops are a bunch of kids doing their jobs.... Bush has but their lives in harms way by starting a war that had nothing to do with 9-11 or the war on terror. Iraq had no WMD's and they were not a threat to us. Someone needs to be accountable for the lives of these kids. This is no ordinary war, and it is NOT the war on terror. It is Bush's war.

I'll be the first to say that I am a WARMONGER! A warmonger is defined as "someone who is anxious to encourage a people or nation to go to war". There are BAD people out there that want to hurt me and my family. I will/have encouraged taking the conflict to them before they bring it to me. I have seen my fair share, and spent "time in the box", and I have two sons that are serving/have served. My oldest is going for his third tour! We do this because we believe in our country, and we see the threats that surround us.

No. I support a couple of soldiers as a pen pal, and I send care packages now and then - and I am opposed to the war. I don't offer my support to them as a way of backing the war - I do it because they are Americans, far from home who chose to serve this country - something I would never do. Here's a clue too - there are plenty of soldiers over there who are against this war, but when they're called to Duty, they go. I don't think because I don't agree with this war I should just forget about our guys and girls who are over there in harms way. You don't see me sending care packages to Pres. Bush. I don't support him or this war.

No, you are an idiot for wanting the US troops to take sides in somebody else's civil war.

Supporting the troops is diffrent than supporting the war.

They are not troops, they are oil pipeline guards. I do not support mindless lock stepping, the people of Germany did & look what it got them.

I don't think so, but what does "support the troops" really mean? I pity the troops, because they are risking their lives for a cause that has nothing to do with defending America. That is a terrible way to exploit the altruism of those who volunteered to serve.

No, no more than you are a traitor if you don't support the war. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
