And do you think you or they deserved a raise?

This is not a 'general' question. I don't want answers like, "people deserver more". I want to know if YOU personally know someone as described above.

I personally don't think there are many people out there that worked for minimum wage for more than a month of two, and if they did, they were not very hard workers.

Are politicians so callous to poverty because they live at the expense of public expenditure in sprawling bungalows in posh localities? How can we make the representatives to be elected to the parliament and state assemblies and give a small quarter to live in slums without power, proper drinking water, muddy environs, lack of pucca roads?

Considering the monumental dangers of our time, the spread of Radical Islam, the removal of God from our schools, courthouses, and society, have you ever stopped your daily routine and 'considered' that this turmoil is exactly what the Bible foretold ?
Heck, hating Christians has become 'en vogue' .

And politicians have now become accustomed to distancing themselves from God . In favor of a more liberal/vacant platform . Some may say this has happened before in history, so 'don't worry' this can't be any different . But that's a ridiculous argument, because there wasn't any WMD's that can wipe-out the world and it's peoples .
Can you categorically deny that this is what the Bible was referring to ? And if not... . . .Then doesn't it MERIT further thought ?

If God told Bush it was ok to go to war and if God told Iraq and the Taliban it was ok to go to war, Why don't we demand God to get the story straight and we won't do anything until that happens!?

This is a question being asked in my politcal science class, and i was just wondering what everyone on yahoos take was... is the UN a great thing that we should participate in without trying to thrust our own systems and beliefs on other countries, or should we allow all lesser developed countries to be absorbed by our ideas... as most have been throughout history... does our democracy really work that well? I would be interested in any type of input here...
