I want to run for president, but I don't have any money.I'm a door to door scrapbook salesman and I am wondering what I can do to raise money. I don't want to do anything illegal to get the money if I have to. I really like people and think that I can be good friends with them sometimes. I probably won't wear a suit, I will have to change that law. I also won't have a first lady because I'm not even dating. Don't get me wrong, the chicks dig me. So, I want to be president. How do I get the money to run?

IN MY OPINION, I think the war is working. We have not had any terrorist attacks in America since we started it, and we are keeping terrorists from every nation busy fighting in their own countries, instead of here.

I also agree with the wiretapping program. As long as only people who talk with known terrorists are targeted, why not? We are only spying on people guilty by association. If you don't want to be spied on, don't talk to terrorists.

HOWEVER, many Americans do not agree with me. So, when we finally leave Iraq, what can we do to keep them from coming over here?

--Please don't answer by attacking my ideas on the war or on the spying program. That is not the question being asked, I respect that you do not agree with me, so let it be.
I am completely serious here, and I want to hear some alternatives.

Case in point, the whole fabricated story about Hillary's people digging up all this evidence of Obama's past in a radical muslim school, and his father being a terrorist, and him being taught to follow this too. the story was falsely created by a conservative propaganda newspaper, and then every conservative (even on here) ran with it, using it to smear both candidates. that story has since been completely proven false, yet people still quote in hourly. the only shread of truth is supposedly where he attended a prodimently muslim school (not radical islam or any of that crap.) does that make you muslim though? if a black child goes to a prodimently white school, does that make him white? dont think so. doesnt this all show the conservatives true colors, as well as their fear of losing the next election? how can you trust a group of people who do absolutely nothing but lie, lie, lie? is anybody else getting tired of all this?

"The department has located her whereabouts & that is all I can tell you at this time. She can contact you if she wants to tell you more". Is this their way of saying that "she" is in protective custody? This was the reply I got one week after filing a missing persons report on an adult female who had been involved in many violent episodes & I was concerned for her safety. She just VANISHED! Not in jail or hospitals locally. Any ideas as to why the local Police would say this & give no info? Witness protection, perhaps? She left all of her personal belongings in her room---abandoned!

Last week gasoline prices dipped down to $1.82 per gallon in our parea. The day after the President gave his speech it went right back up to $2.09. The day prior, I was excited about the possibilities that gas prices where on their way to acceptable and less threatening costs, I finally felt a little relief to be able to fill up for less than $35.00. Now I wonder if President "Big Texas Oil Man" Bush doesn't have more to do with gas prices than what we are lead to believe. Was he prepping America for his speech about the war and thought "drop the price so at least they will be in a better mood?" and after his speech put the price back up? Does anyone wonder this?

I was told it is better to contest your traffic ticket by mail and not court that way they don't charge you court costs and you are more likely to win ,so first question who here had their case dropped and which method did you use?
My seconed question is if I send the ticket amount for $242.00 with the 3rd option of not guilty and marking the fourth option of trail by Written Declaration and they drop the ticket will they pay me back or do I wait and pay it?

Thank you for your time

... could a circumstance ever conceivably arise in Iraq that would make withdrawal a considerable option? If so, what would that situation look like in terms of the violence or the cost in lives or dollars? Please understand that I'm not being rhetorical here; I'm honestly curious.

For those who say "no, never", however, I would ask you to explain what makes this different from Vietnam. I'm not saying Vietnam and Iraq are identical; I'm only wanting input as to how you think we can avoid the mistakes of the past.

Please, only answer if you are not in favor of immediate withdrawal; I don't want this to become a swarm of "my team" complaining loudly, as always and giving each other high fives for it (which isn't to say that we are necessarily wrong either).

I have been working at my job for a couple months short of a year. I am a damn good employee. I am one of the best at what I do & I am always there to cover other peoples shifts, stay late & pick up the slack left behind by others. I am very well liked by customers & all is good other than I do have 1 problem. I have tendency to run late. Not alot late & not all the time. And I am amongst the many who are late. But nun the less, I am a tardy employee. I was recently terminated. The reason given was for being late a week prior. I asked several times in the last week if I was going to get fired and I was repeatedly told no. The manager who fired me, does not like me and I dont like her.She had it in for me. I am mad because they waited a week & lied to me. What do you think?
Also, the girl who termed me...is only 19 & she frequents 2 local bars. After firing me, I called the 2 bars & informed them that they had been serving a minor with a fake ID. What do you think of that?

In my opinion the lack of "public" support for our President and our troops is tatamount to treason. This war would have been won by now if our citizens had given full "WWII like" support to this effort to combat terrorism. Instead they give their full energy to hating our President and forwarding their our selfish political agenga. An agenda full of immorallity and religious repudiation.

Does the Senate Resolution 98 vote of 95-0 on July 25, 1997 warning the President (not to mention Al G.) that the Kyoto Protocol was DOA if they sent it up to the Hill portend little to no meaningful legislation regarding global warming coming from this group of Democrats controlling Congress?

Of course, Bill and Al went ahead and signed the Protocol anyway as their environmental allies cheered and their union and business allies exploded in rage. Knowing they weren't going to be submitting the Protocol to the Senate for ratification made that gesture good politics even if it was meaningless policy.

So, the question really is this: Since Al Gore seems to have convinced a good deal of the American public that serious consequences due to global warming are not too far away, and Democrats enjoy pandering to their political base as much as do Republicans, why will they NOT be submitting significant and meaningful legislation to do something about the problem?
