In my opinion the lack of "public" support for our President and our troops is tatamount to treason. This war would have been won by now if our citizens had given full "WWII like" support to this effort to combat terrorism. Instead they give their full energy to hating our President and forwarding their our selfish political agenga. An agenda full of immorallity and religious repudiation.

ABSOLUTELY!!!!!!!
With all the Liberal hate being perpetrated, it shows the Bad Guys we are divided, thus weak. One cannot support the Troops while opposing the war...Lot like condoning smoking, but decrying cancer.....Like in Vietnam, the Liberal Picnic, Commie, Hippies were "ANTI-WAR & PRO TROOP"
Then why did we come home to jeers, name calling ( Baby Killer, Murderer Etc.) and why were we spat on and stuff thrown at us, like we were the aggressors?
Whe support for the War fall, Troop support and Troop moral falls too....it is a cancer that will eat at the operation, ultimately resulting in failure..which is a liberal term for victory.....

Public support for the president and the troops are always good in aiding to win a war. However I believe WWII and the "war on terrorism" are two completely different wars. Wars against countries such as Germany or Iraq can be won. However when you have a war on terrorism" who is the enemy?, where is the enemy?, and how are you going to end it? I dont see the "war on terrorism" ever ending the best that we can do is prevent attacks and hunt the terrorists down. We had terrorist for a long time and there not going anywhere anytime soon.

As for are the liberals aiding terrorists, I would say that they are. Not necessarily with not supporting the war and the president, but by the legislation that they support and pass.

I'm a liberal and I don't believe we give aid and comfort to the enemy. There really is not an awful lot going good in Iraq and the poll numbers reflect the public's feelings on the issue. I've never heard a liberal bash the USA or the troops. I have heard them bashing the President and his decisions. As for communism, the whole wiretapping thing is as close to "Big Brother" as I've seen the US get.... "allegedly"

Yes , they have been ever since the initial shock of 9/11 when the tolerant left began to resent the way George Bush took charge and proved he would do more than lip service ( like their boy Clinton ) to protect our nation .
Time & time again , those elected Democrats who spoke out against the very troops who are in harms way - to fight the cause of the prisoners who were killing civilains as well as our troops-and would behead you if only they got the chance . The liberal left
even stooped so low-when the nation was mourning the loss of President Reagen . Peter Jennings resented the fact that a Republican was dominating the news -and stated we need to get back to abu Graibe - after non-stop coverage on the terrorists who were humiliated in prison . If those same prisoners were let free to behead innocent contractors - somehow that was not an important issue for the tolerant liberal biased media . The left will sacrifice all for the party-even you ; even America . The proof goes on every day .

JUST ONE QUESTION NEEDS TO BE ASKED. DOES THE CONSTANT AND UNENDING CRITICISM FROM THE LEFT MAKE THE ENEMY BELIEVE THEY CAN WIN THIS THING IF THEY JUST HOLD OUT LONG ENOUGH? THAT WAS A TRIED AND TRUE METHOD USED DURING THE VIETNAM WAR AND HAS BECOME THE MONTRA OF ALL OF OUR FOES SINCE. UNCLE HO IN NORTH VIETNAM SAID THAT WAS HIS STRATEGY AND IT WORKED TO A TEE. DIVIDE AND CONQUER. OLD AS THE HILLS BUT OUR PEOPLE FALL FOR IT EVERY TIME. SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO WONDER HOW SMART WE REALLY ARE TO SUCK THIS TACTIC UP IN EVERY CONFLICT. WHY CONFRONT US? JUST TAKE SOME POT SHOTS AT US EVERY DAY, PACK UP AND GO HOME TO MOMMY AND THE KIDS AND THEN LET THE MEDIA DO THE REST. JUST ANOTHER DAY AT THE OFFICE. PRETTY SOON OUR PEOPLE GET TIRED OF PLAYING THE GAME AND HUSTLE ON HOME. THEY WIN AND TAKE OVER. WHAT AN EASY SOLUTION TO A BIG PROBLEM. WISH WE WOULD HAVE THOUGHT OF IT. UNFORTUNATELY WE HAVE THE ATTENTION SPAN OF A NINTENDO GAME AND GET BORED WHEN WE ACTUALLY HAVE TO EXECUTE A PLAN THAT LASTS OVER 30 DAYS. SIMPLE MINDS-SIMPLE WAYS.

1 even if public support had been 100% the current strife in the middle east would not be over. the current conflict going on has its roots in the 9th-10th century, as well its not really "terriorists" were fighting were fighting iraqs who are trying to wipe each other out. and men who want to control there country for themselves ie Al Sadr

as for the failure so far to suceeded in stemming secretarian violence this has been due to "policy" decsions by our president, and the iraqi PM to successfully accomplishes goals set out the iraqis need to be able to stand on there own (which they cant) and the american military must root out milia units that cause destabilizing effects. the current situation has nothing to do with "libs" or "neo cons". it has to do with poor utilization of our militarys strengths.

also treason "In law, treason is the crime of disloyalty to one's nation or state. A person who betrays the nation of their citizenship and/or reneges on an oath of loyalty and in some way willfully cooperates with an enemy, is considered to be a traitor. Oran's Dictionary of the Law (1983) defines treason as: "...[a]...citizen's actions to help a foreign government overthrow, make war against, or seriously injure the [parent nation]." In many nations, it is also often considered treason to attempt or conspire to overthrow the government, even if no foreign country is aided or involved by such an endeavour." - wikipedia

by speaking your mind under the bill of rights you are not commiting a treasonous act. only if you engage in acts against the governing body

The Demoncratic response to the State of the Union Address was very revealing.
To use the words Terrorism and Diplomacy in the same sentence illustrates an incredibly neive view of the world today.
These fools still believe they can sit across a table with these Sand Monkeys and negotiate peace.
There are those who have attempted to answer your question with the same ignorance.
Our enemy is primarily the Sunni Sect. The Shites have demonstrated some willingness to cooperate with us even though there are some vigilantes among them.
While I recognize Islam as a cult, if they are willing to keep it to themselves I have no problem with their self deception.
One idiot actually suggested we "Forget about Israel." Interesting philosophy. Were trying to promote Democracy in the Middle East therefore we turn our backs on the one success there now.
It's this kind of Cranial-Rectal Inversion that makes up the Demoncratic Party.

If the president were actually trying to combat _terrorism_ rather than using terrorism to further the right's agenda of invading Iraq, I would be 100% supportive.

The neo-cons wanted to invade Iraq again the late 90s but their opinion paper concluded with the fact that they wouldn't be able to get the country's support, unless an event happened on the level of Pearl Harbor. Then, they got their event, and rather than going after the criminal elements that attacked us, they used the fear the country was experiencing and the ignorance of our citizens to launch an attack against Iraq, tying up our military resources in a completely un-related country and war.

The only thing the war in Iraq has managed to accomplish is to give the terrorists both a battle ground and a recruiting base.

Immorality? I'll tell you what's immoral... the deaths (some would say murder) of more than 100,000 civilians in Iraq. _Civilians_. I'm not talking about the 'insurgents'. Also, the deaths of thousands of our own troops who are fighting a war that they were encouraged to join by a lying president, and kept there by forcing them into multiple rotations.

As to religious repudiation... Do you remember this one? "Love your enemy". Oh and this one. "Thou shalt not Kill". Don't take God's name in vain by using him as an excuse for war.

This is not a question. This is the ranting of some jerkoff because of his shortcomings. How about i ask a question like "Are right wing corporate thugs and their mindless religious fascists destroying this country?". Yeah. Not a question. Give me a break.
