Case in point, the whole fabricated story about Hillary's people digging up all this evidence of Obama's past in a radical muslim school, and his father being a terrorist, and him being taught to follow this too. the story was falsely created by a conservative propaganda newspaper, and then every conservative (even on here) ran with it, using it to smear both candidates. that story has since been completely proven false, yet people still quote in hourly. the only shread of truth is supposedly where he attended a prodimently muslim school (not radical islam or any of that crap.) does that make you muslim though? if a black child goes to a prodimently white school, does that make him white? dont think so. doesnt this all show the conservatives true colors, as well as their fear of losing the next election? how can you trust a group of people who do absolutely nothing but lie, lie, lie? is anybody else getting tired of all this?

i never said liberals were perfect. but i sure havent heard any outright, blatant lies about their candidates, have you? plus, there is a line you cross when you call people terrorists and radical muslims when its not true.

We don't need fabrications.

One website pretty much says it all about Obama.

Would you trust someone to be President who is part of a racist church?

First of all, not all conservatives are doing this. I haven't, and I'm a conservative. To be honest, I didn't really believe it, but it wouldn't have surprised me that Senator Clinton would be trying to dig up dirt about someone she may be running against in the primary.
At President Bush's SOTU, I kept seeing this blonde woman that I recognized, but couldn't figure out just WHERE I knew her from. But she was so snotty looking that I wanted to smack her.
A little while later, I realized it was Senator Clinton. It had just been so long since I'd seen her, and I think she's had some kind of plastic surgery; she looks younger than she did when she was the First Lady.
What's my point? I wouldn't put anything past that woman. I have pretty good intuition, and I wouldn't trust her any further than I could throw her, much less trust her to run our country.

I digress. Anyway, there are plenty of people from the other side of the aisle who do the same thing you describe. I can't even count how many times people have come on here talking about how President Bush said that the Constitution was just a "piece of GD paper" (unproven), that President Bush was holding a book upside-down (the photo was edited), or that President Bush's IQ is 82 (completely false).
And they state these things as FACT. They also call the whole thing with Valerie Plame a "leak", and insist that she was a covert agent (which she wasn't, at the time that her identity was released). Oh, and then there's the whole thing over Cheney supposedly having Halliburton stock (he doesn't), that President Bush is gay (I don't know WHERE this one is coming from), that Mark Foley was a pedophile (pedophiles target children who are prepubescent. Sixteen is not prepubescent.), that Ann Coulter is a transvestite (WTHeck?!)...
Shall I continue?
Both sides do it. Don't just blame the conservatives.

i know the obama smear has been disproven, and i haven't read a single conservative who promoted it as a fact, merely as something that insight reported to have been constructed by the clinton campaign. has the clinton connection been debunked? it's very plausible that she would do something like that. at least more plausible than it would be for a small publication like insight to open itself to catastrophic lawsuits. progressives after all make up a lot of stuff. how many times have you heard that bush called the constitution a "goddam piece of paper?"

The last I heard, the reporters were standing by their story that the Clinton camp was investigating the issue.

I don't know whether or not the allegations regarding Obama are true or false.

Again the thrust of the story was that the Clinton campaign was raising these issues, not the allegations about Obama themselves:

No, not really, if that were the case , then Sandy Berger is guilty of nothing. But he will be investigated for stealing highly classified documents and covering up for daddy Bill.

as a conservative, yes i am

also as a conservative, i am sick of reading people's opinions instead of the stories while reading the newspaper. You would think just reporting things wouldn't be too hard

*Yawn*

And the liberals are always 100% factual and correct, right? Enjoy that dream while it lasts....

I find it so amusing that the so-called "tolerant" left isn't.
