Dems are just lieing so they can get votes MYTH: Illegal aliens don't affect politics because they can't vote.

TRUTH: Just by being counted in the census, illegals give political power to special groups. Many illegals fraudulently vote anyway and there is strong evidence that some key elections have been upset by illegal voters. Politicians represent the "people" even if those people are illegal aliens. Since the number of representatives in congress is fixed, any increase in population in California, for example, due to illegal immigration will require more representation for that group while taking away representation from people in other states. Most politicians that represent areas of large illegal population, vote in the interest of illegal aliens since they are the ones they represent. When elections are over it will be just another political lie.

There will be no amnesty. I believe there will be legislation passed that will allow a guest worker program and there will be legislation passed that will permit the illegal immigrants already here to come forward and apply for citizenship if they can meet the specified criteria. It will not be a "walk in the park" to gain citizenship as so many fear. Mass deportation is not an option and will never happen.

Amnesty won't work. If you make illegals legal, then they will lose their jobs because the employers will not want to pay them fair wages. So then the employers will just look for more illegals to hire.

NO it will NOT happen because Americans won't let it. Politicans want to keep their jobs and everybody wants the Presidency for their party and bottom line is Americans will not accept illegal immigration anymore and whoever wants a political position will have to build a fence and start mass deportations. Or go on unemployment.

Considering a high majority of legal American citizens are against this, one would think there would not be a debate on it.

It will happen in spite of what Americans want. MOST Americans are against the illegal alien criminals and congress is treating us like we are stupid kids "now people, we know what's best. we will let all these poor people in and we will take care of them. They deserve to be here."

I hope that the issue is too hot and that they are scared to do anything about it.

Alot of immigration lawyers expect something to happen by the spring and they expect it to be in favor of the illegal immigrants. I can only pray that is so.
