I happened to see an immigration program wherein a small squad of highly trained military style, gun toting, highly armed and militarily equiped, SWAT style commandos from the USA were down in the sewer system, cleaning out illegal immigrants types and drug people from coming across to the US.
I was highly pleased to see this ...and it made me think we REALLY ARE at war to stop illegal invasion from Mexico. WHADAYA think?

Aunt: Well, I don't agree with you completely about border security. We are going crazy elsewhere killing and bombing due to Terrorism against us. Our borders are our only protection. Ha! Of course the aren't really. Under cover is a term I use cuz the cops or whatever they were, looked like commandos/operated like commandos. They took down some illegals they caught. I was happy to see it actually. I feel all safe now. Ha! I see your point a well however, in this world we should be a bit more careful, seems to me.

Doesn't sound like undercover to me. I mean, you said SWAT team sort of stuff. They are not very secret, after all.

Did you mean to say an undeclared war? In a way, we are. I don't like it myself. I prefer an open border, with enough prosperity that the balance does not get too far off between those south and those north of the border. The "rising tide rises all boats" maneuver.

People are constantly complaining about the costs for social services for illegal immigrants, but I say the costs for social services for all of us are out of control, because the whole system is built on flawed assumptions. The idea seems to have been that if the country has a problem, create a cabinet post, create a bureau, hire a bunch of bureaucrats and clerks, and waste as much money as possible while at least pretending to solve the problem.

This tends to make problems worse, not better.
