Unfortunately this step is also desired in the UK as well. The point is there are two classes in the capitalist system, that is the rich elite and the workers.

The capitalist system is designed to protect and enhance the ruling class so anything that reduces the rights of the working class is an advancement. Like spy cameras and now the new US ray mobile designed to heat up "rioters". It is unfortunate that a lot of workers do not see past the smoke but these things are designed to restrict their freedom to protest and demand fairer wages.

Your question is misleading. You claim he said the American people don't have the right to habeas corpus, but that isn't accurate. The discussion involved terror suspects who were not Americans. The constitution stipulates that habeas corpus may not be suspended except in times of invasion or when public safety requires. So then your question might be better phrased if you were to accurately portray the situation and discuss whether or not people think it is appropriate that terror detainees are not granted habeas corpus by a country whose constitution they do not acknowledge.

Before everyone stomps their feet and rolls over and begins crying " the Sky is Falling The sky is falling" - typical liberal only tell one side of the story.

Gonzalez - acknowledges the right of Habeas Corpus. He simply says it is not guaranteed to everyone in the United States.
Her is trying to defend our country's holding potential Terrorist in prison and that they do not have such a right as they are not citizens.

Terrorists do not have the right to Habeas Corpus. Terrorists are not American citizens, so why should they be entitled to our rights? if you are an American Terrorist, you don't deserve rights. I see no problem with this, only problem I have is your misrepresentation of the facts.

heabeas corpus is one of the basic rights of a civilised society and dates back to Roman times.

Note what I said- it is one of the basic rights of a CIVILISED society.

Yanks are brainwashed with all this "freedom" rubbish they spout. They give up their freedom thinking that they HAVE freedom.

It is typical of this whole administration, they have done more to erode the Constitution then any other administration that I can think of. He is obviously talking about the war powers act which, which war has never been declared is a moot argument.
