Please do not guess at this answer - I'm looking for someone with genuine experience or Knowledge of this situation.

In '93 i was convicted of shoplifting - in 96 I went to USA on visa waiver travel.

in 99 applied for fiance visa and was refused due to convictions and misrepresentation at port of entry.

I have applied for and been issued so far with 2 visitor visas (over the last year) - of course to get that I needed a waiver for my ineligability.

My question is; If my wife and I decided to move to usa (she is us citizen) would the waiver of ineligability i have for the visitors visa be valid for immigrant visa?

If you were in charge of the war in Iraq, what kind of exit stratagy would you use to end the war in Iraq AND unite the democrats and the rebublicans. Please take into consideration we can't change the past and we are already there.

I feel that the terrorists have suceeded in dividing our country and we need a stratagy that can make all sides happy, if that is even possible. Putting more troops in and having a very quick sweep of Iraq then rounding up all suspected terrorists. These people need to be handed over to the Iraqi government. We need to make some serious military moves followed by giving the Iraqi's a timeline of three months, and then seriously beefing up our national security by redeploying troops around the United States might help. I feel it is imperative that all politicians back the president on a quick, swift plan. Though it would never happen lol.

The cost of trying to stop illegal immigrants into America runs into hundreds of millions of dollars. Is it worth it? If the floodgates were opened at first ther would be an almighty rush but after a while an equilibrium would ensue & perhaps a benefit will follow.

A friend and I were discussing (neither of us with the slightest experience in the matter) how sailors generally, and the Navy in particular, have changed in the last century.

Does the Navy (referring specifically to UK/ US) still facilitate a 'sea-dog' character, the likes of Robert Shaw in Jaws or any of the characters from Alistair MacLean's maritime novels, or are these romanticisations of the pre-WW2 Navy? Have technology and modern warfare strategies bypassed the horny-handed sailor of old, with his passion for rum, shanties and tall tales of exotic ports, or do examples of this still live on?

Although this is only a light-hearted debate we'd like current/ ex Naval staff to help us out here- thanks very much!

A very good friend of mine was involved in an accident last night. The police came to my home looking for her because her listed home phone was my home phone {she doesnt have a local home phone just a cell phone} they told me that they had found her car rolled over in a ditch and a blood trail to the road in the snow but no body and asked had I heard from her. At that point I had not heard from her. They gave me their number and asked that I phone them if I hear from her. About 20 minutes after the officers left she called and told me she was okay and she had been in an accident. I told her the officers had been here and wanted me to contact them if I heard from her. I called back the officer to let them know I heard from her and he told me that he knew for a fact she was in a bar in another town{though she said she was in the one here in town}, that people saw her get behind the wheel of the car and she has a suspended license and that she was in a lot of trouble. That she would be

What if we produce an undiscovered chapter of the Quran that says they can get 1000 virgins in heaven if they get a lobotomy. Why blow yourself up for only a handful of virgins?

I came home high last night, and today my landlord is threatening to evict me. I did not smoke on his property, I did not make noise when I came in (it was only about 11pm). I don't see how he has any ground to say what I can and cannot do on my own time. I pay my rent on time and am respectful to my neighbors.
