Since methamphetamine has been in existence since the 1930s I daresay it has been over there wherever there is.
and for quite some time, but probably under a different name.
It is a stimulant. It makes people not eat, not sleep. Just those factors makes it dangerous, add to it that it is addictive. And a mild hallucinogen in it's own right.
persons who use it regularly tend to have bad teeth, their hair falling out from over brushing it. A ghastly pallor, eyes showing all the white.
Skinny from not eating and burning way too many calories. Prone to infections from no sleep and poor diet. Since the fastest way of taking it is to smoke it or inject it, the first much like crack cocaine but much stronger, they develop scarring in the lungs and larynx from the heat of the smoke, or the damages and infections brought on by injecting.
And that was the GOOD news.
They tend to become psychotic. paranoiac.
Show signs of the brain dysfunctions commonly found in schitzophrenia. Extraordinarily prone to sudden mood changes and sudden unprovoked violence.
They see shadow people, demons, meth monsters.
Cocaine is just speed's baby sister. If a meth addict gets cocaine, he will be angry because coke isn't strong enough.
The behaviours commonly seen in long term cocaine users are more violent, visible, occur more rapidly in meth addicts.
The chemicals needed to make it are solvents and cold capsules, basically. The base for it is ephedrine, derived from a plant that is a common weed in the Western US, more common in Asia, and the asian variety, Mah Huang, is more potent as well. Much easier to make than processing heroin or cocaine.
If you aren't frightened by this, wait until you start noticing the effects on otherwise normal people.
They used to market it legally in the US and Europe as a diet aid, a stimulant and as a psychiatric medication for prepubescent children. It has been illegal to possess it in America since 1970.
As mentioned, it is a very common drug, and has been around for a long time.

Where are you from? I'd have thought that it has been around everywhere for a long time. I know it's been in Australia for many many years. Perhaps it's just be reclassed recently but it's probably always been there. It's nasty because of the psychosis that long term users suffer. It's bad for the heart and basically the whole system is put under extreme pressure whilst using it. It will age a heavy user in a major way especially in their looks. It's a lot stronger than it ever was so it gives a better high but as with all highs, there's a low to follow and the better the high, the worse the come down. Amphetamines were never considered to be physically addictive (meaning the body didn't experience acute withdrawls when stopping use, such as heroin) until recent studies and the stronger strain of meth seems to be so.

It hasn't taken off as much as it did in the States. But that doesn't mean it won't come here, and for once it would be great to be prepared for a new drug before it comes. Imagine how many lives could have been saved if we had banned cigarettes before they came to this country...

Crystal meth is not new here... I bought it...sold it and went to jail for doing so 11 years ago. It ruins lives and is more destructive then cocaine or heroin..people using it go into what is called a "Meth Monster" stage where they go nuts..literally. Stay away from it..even in small ammounts it is dangerous. It is cheaper then cocaine and easy to make but to dangerous to mess with.

No the whole Meth thing is just about over. The companies that make products with the Ingredients in them, change all of their formula's it is harder to get anything anymore. I know, I lived through it. Everyone I know is clean now.

Here - UK yeah? It's been here years and I assumed it was a class A as its more addictive than crack and heroin. Just proves what a screwed up system we have over here (UK).
What's nasty about it - everything -it rots your body inside out and you're hooked after the first use.

Extemely addictive, extremely poisonous, overall more deadly that most drugs. It's lack of availibility is the only thing keeping it from being the worst of the worst.

It is highly addictive, even more so than crack. It's very potent and it is very easy to overdose on a small amount.
Search on google, i'm sure you can find some genuine facts that will enlighten you.

firstly it is a mix of class a drugs already available here and secondly it is a favourite of homosexuals , so if you don't fear dying of a drug overdose or being an addict then perhaps you should fear waking up with a sore bum !
