what is it? An what happens when we reach midnight? I guess what they say it deals with nuclear arms. But what is it's importance? Thank you.

It's really just someone's interpretation of all the events in the world and how they bring the world closer to armageddon. When we reach midnight, it is the end of the world. Nuclear winter. Everyone loses. Read more here:

It is to signify how close the world is to utter destruction. It will never reach midnight because midnight means the world is going to be destroyed. No one can move the hands on the clock if there is no one alive. It also deals with other factors but nuclear arms is one of them

It's just a giant waste of time. No one can predict the end of the world and it's utterly ridiculous that this thing even exists.
