what you mean by socail service?

i have been told that many people are doing social services.is doing a something for your country a service or it should be treated as your duty..so why cant we call it our social duty.

The difference
1.Social service--It is voluntary in nature
2.Social duty--It is a compulsion

Social service means being GOOD to everyone. Everyone in this context meanse every one every living being.
