There is no right way to handle a war. There would be something to complain about no matter what he did. The war in Iraq is even more difficult because there are so many divisions between so many people. I don't think Bush has been successful in Iraq but I also think that no one can be successful here because the divisions are too great. Damned if you do and damned if you don't. Someone hates you either way.

Actually, I do not believe that President Bush has been successful in Iraq. One reason is that he has very little, make that no, combat experience. He is also getting poor advice. I do not know for certain whether he is ignoring his advisors or simply listening to those that say what he wants to hear.
In the current state of the situation, I would, if I were president, send in more, better equipped, better trained troops to literally hunt down and wipe out any and all insurgency in Iraq. Then, secure the borders and let Iraqis fend for themselves. Civil war is almost inevitable and it is not the job of the U.S. to either stop or mitigate a civil war. The job the U.S. has set itself to is the rebuilding of Iraq, as far as possible. We blew it up, we need to build it back up.

I would have sent enough troops to get the job done in the first place. I am glad that he is finally deciding to do that.

Oh yeah you Dem's you are of such short memories. Your political leadership was calling for troop increases right up until Bush implemented it. An now you say it is bad..... I wonder if your Bush Hatred blurs your vision?

I think Bush should do the USA a big favor,...and PLEASE resign now.

To answer your question,....I would have pulled troops out of Iraq very shortly after Saddam Hussein was captured by the U.S. Military.

If I were Bush, I'd resign and let people with better leader potential take over. If I were president I would pull out, and offer financial aid and schooling.

Since Iraq is no better place than it was before we came in, we should get out. Bush should deal with problems here and make sure the US is protected.

I would increase funding for education so that I wouldn't have to muddle my way through garbled misspelled questions on the computer.

I would have listened to the experts(the Generals) up front and sent in at least 300,000 troops to make sure everything was done right.
