Earlier today US forces entered the Iranian consulate in the Iraqi city of Arbil. The troops took documents and computers.

Under intl law, an embassy or consulate is sovereign territory of the nation whose name is on the door, not the country it is in.

The US committed an act of war against Iran. Any idea why?

Don't let your feelings about Iran get the better of you. Lots of Germans thought it was great they invaded France.

And get out of the way so that the republicans and Bush can handle it.
Obstruction in a time of war should be a capital offense.

i mean realistically , is it not a waste of time to try to get them Deported since they are essecial for the economy of this state which is one of the most important States for the nation ???

also which would be wiser to try to make them pay the taxes which they will have to pay once they are legalized or to not allow them to stay and lose all that money ???

Can anyone honestly say that the quality of care will be worth receiving? it will be much crappier than private plans for certain, and turn our health system canadian.

to make matters worse, it would be funded primarily by people who could buy better health insurance on behalf of those who can't afford insurance.

why aspire to provide crappy services? start an ngo or charity like any self respecting philanthropist, fund it through donations, and keep your hands off my money!

Why is it that Bush is considered evil because terrorists are car-bombing a few thousand civilians, yet FDR is hero for deliberately bombing 250,000 civilians?

To what degree can a U.S. President "make law"?

(Could, for example, George Washington, invoked an "executive order" to free the slaves, or give women the right to vote, etc., claiming that to not do so would inevitably lead to national disruption (or that it's an inevitability?)

My friend's brother-in-law has been married to her sister for almost 8 years. They have 2 little girls. Since day one of their marriage, he has been shirking his responsiblities. Early on, he would stay out all night with his Marine buddies. Then, he was "stationed" with the State Police about clear across the state (he had to move out and get an apartment there).
Then, he was "deployed" with a unit that he wasn't even a part of. He found out that the unit he was in wasn't going to Iraq and positioned himself to leave with another unit. And that unit is OUT OF STATE! He went and came back home. Now, he has been living in Michigan since May 2006. Supposedly with the Marines.
AND, he had to pay for EVERYTHING! He claims that the Marine Corps doesn't pay for him to be on Active Duty, so he has a huge hotel bill! And he has to buy all of his war gear out of pocket?? Now he is leaving in August to Afghanistan with a unit out of Florida? WHAT IS GOING ON????!!!!

what the majority of politcos are failing to notice are the blue color work force in america are getting sick and tired of the way the two major parties are playing around with our country.republican and democrats alike seem to forget this is a whole country ,but all they seem to care about is beating down each outher when their party has control over congress.instead of trying to work to solve so many of this countries problems it's my parties way or no way.with the cost of just going to work is rediculous, health care cost is a costly joke.just how old is this so called drug war?,they have,nt even had scurmish yet!one buttwhole in office gets his whang whped his party wants tomake him a martre,a celeb out the ho,and make his wife prez.the other dick head seems hellbent on killing every young person there is.2 partys, yea one side goes in and parties then the other side does the same,by the way some one tell hollywood that joe worker cares less about his view,so sit down and shut up!!!

After listening to the president's speech there is no doubt in my mind he wants to attack Iran. You don't send an aircraft carrier to the Persian Gulf with jets and Patriot missiels to fight insurgents in Iraq. My question is how long will you people support this guy? Are you going to wait until he attacks every country that doesn't like us? You can't just bomb everyone, if you don't COMMUNICATE with people you end up in pointless wars. If Bush was the president during the cold war it would of been the end of the world, because he is the kind of guy that would push the button.

Employment concern....?
I just found out from a fellow co-worker that I am going to be let go from work. I work through a temporary agency through the plant and they are training a girl to do my job, and I found out about that also. I worked for a law firm before and I thought that if a company lets you go for lack of work that they can't turn around and hire someone to do the same job you were doing. Is that right? Someone please help.

ADDITION: The person that they are teaching my job also works for the temp agency. I work for a factory that has a temp agency on site that everyone must go through. I do my job really well and the only time I have missed is due to me having surgery.
