They dont have ANY plans of alternatives. They never did. The funny thing is, people like Pelosi was on record for saying she thought we should have more troops there. NOW she has flip flopped. If the Dems worried less about saying and doing anything to be against Bush no matter what it is, and spent more time on doing their jobs and helping the situation then perhaps more could get done. The main thing I disagree with Bush on is our illegal immigration issue. He has tried with things like building a wall and such but more needs to be done. The wall must go up but we also need to stop giving rights to illegals who dont deserve rights here. They broke the law, but thats a whole other can of worms.
But both sides seem to just fight each other, Dems and Republicans. More so the Dems because all they do is critisize yet offer no alternatives. If you are going to call Bush an idiot for trying, then atleast come up with some solutions and offer them.

It doesnt surprise me that most of you in here are answering the way you are. Its another sign of the downfall of our country. The man who asked the question is right and all of you know it. Yet you wont admit it just like most liberals.

Well..since I am not running for President or Congress...my plan may not be given much thought...but here goes.
Tentative pull out of all forces in one year, advisers in 18 months.

First things First...

1. Return our boy's to the 2001 pay level, and then give them a raise!
2. Restore leaves and allow people to retire! (which will account for the first withdrawal of 20,000 or so troops)
3. Insure that they have the best of health care...no more waiting for prosthetics and surgery! Make sure they have proper rehab and care for emotional issues.

Now...as for the private security people over there...they are fired!
I need that money...for my real soldiers, and for body armor, armor for the tanks, and bullet proof vests. Our defense suppliers would be on 90 day notice...better equipment, replace the M-16 and out dated weapons..or we take our business somewhere else!

Arrest and remove most of the clerics that are causing problems including the tribal heads. Close the Mosques for at least 6 months...don't allow congregating or protests. Enforce a curfew and sorry to say..shoot anyone caught on the street after time.

Make a general call for all the Iraqi army men..who the first guy on the ground kicked out of their jobs..and left them broke, and pissed, call them back to service. To shore up the Iraqi police we are trying to train.

City by City root out and arrest or shoot..(doesn't matter), any resistance...let God sort them out. (Harsh Tactics)

Get our forces centered and not just in the green zone, let the Iraqi Army and the civilians we have trained go and pull out the resistance from the tribal factions. Put tribal leaders on notice, play nice with one another..or go to jail.

Our troops should be securing the borders between Iran/Syria...and stop the supply line from those two ends.

Put the Iraqi government (that we made) on notice...the clock is ticking...get set up and straight or be replaced.

With what remains of the coalition forces, The Brits and so on, restore some of the infrastructure..hospitals, electric plants, and get the oil moving...put these people back to work on infrastructure projects...pay them something close to an American wage, not out source the work...and open schools and start letting them get back to a normal way of life.

Find and bring to justice..Osama Bin Ladin...not pay lip service to we are still looking for him either. This time our special forces get the green light on the head shot..or capture him.

Reassure the U.N. and our allies that we will abide by the Geneva Convention Rules...Close Gitmo, bring whom ever we have evidence against to trial, allow them due process, or we are just paying lip service to the democracy we are preaching. Set an example of how it is suppose to work.
Make a public apology for Abu Nag rib and other atrocities we have committed.
Make a commitment to the World Court, that if they find anyone responsible for atrocities or war crimes we will turn them over for prosecution willingly. American or not....we cannot be above the law we hold everyone else too.

Get Kissinger and Carter over to Israel and Egypt and open a dialog with all the key players, a mid east summit and get all parties to commit to anti terror plan...kiss *** and get it signed, that includes the Saudis.

How is that..just off the top of my head, so to speak, think they would take my plan...lol.

First of all, if you are so smart, you should not be using the Rush and Sean talking points. The President is the Commander-in-chief.. He is the one who has to come up with a plan for use of his military. It's in the Constitution. The Democrates or as you say, liberals, control the pruse strings for the military. It is not their job to come up with a plan for Iraq. It's been four years and you conservatives still don't have any plan for a victory in Iraq and that is the job of your leader, the idiot in chief, George W. bush. Read the Constitution bright boy and maybe you won't ask such a stupid question next time.

Easy, add a natural sedative to the water and to their food so the entire Iraqi population are sleepy 24/7/365. If they are all sleepy, they will be too tired to fight and blow things up. Our troops can have special bottled water/food without the sedative delivered to them so they are not impacted. Once everyone is sleeping we can easily capture and arrest all suspected terrorists and bring them to justice. What do you think Tina?

Make sure that Bush and anyone who supported him gets blamed for causing the whole fiasco. The best thing that could happen would be EVERYONE - both Rs and Ds, who voted for the war stays home after the '08 election.

(In responce to the people who basically just said," Let Bush take care of it; it's his problem.)

So let me get this straight, you mean to say that you get to whine and complain about everything Bush does, but you refuse to do a single thing to make it right again? If you won't fix what you think is broken, then you aren't giving much of a sign that you care one bit what happens to this country, so long as Bush is blamed for it.

What the repugs should have done a long time ago
**secure Iraq's borders
**work from the outside in so they have to take refuge in the cities like cockroaches
**then start throwing roach bombs

the repugs can't even secure our own borders

set deadlines and goals... like anyone does for anything else...

let them know that they will need to take over and we always won't be there... I think that would do wonders for them... and make them more positive about our role there, knowing that we are going to turn it over to them...

you're never going to get rid of all the terrorists there...

and if anyone attacks them, let it be known, that we will come back...

ok... what's your strategy... "adding troops" is not really a strategy...

Well, even the Democrats are flip-flopping.
Nancy Pelosi wanted to send in more troops
when George Bush was against it. Now that
he feels maybe we should, she's against it.
Hypocracy......there's plenty on both sides.
