You can still join the Marine Corps, but there are some jobs that you will automatically be disqualifed for. Without uncorrected 20/20 vision, you cannot serve in armor (tanks) because of the optics used in the tanks (that is how it was explained to me by my recruiter when I enlisted). Also, you cannot fly tactical aircraft, such as the F/A-18, AV-8B Harrier and the EA-6b Proweler, although you can still be a pilot for helicopters or cargo aircraft. You can be an aviator in F/A-18 or EA-6b squadrons, but you can't be the pilot. You are allowed to be a memeber of the enlisted crew of a helicoptor or cargo aircraft (crew chief, navigator, flight engineer, etc.)

Yes, you can, if you get a specific medical waiver. However, it is difficult to acquire this waiver; usually you would need to demonstrate an exceptional asset that the military would find useful above & beyond the average potential recruit.
Best of luck. The benefits of military service far outweigh the drawbacks. I won't lie to you, your chance of injury or death is greater during military service, but that's true even during 'peacetime'. Injury or death are both a possibility, but depending on your MOS, the actual risk will vary. Contrary to the popular belief, not every newly enlisted recruit is shipped over to the Middle East. It depends primarly upon your unit assignment, over which the recruiters and your drill instructors (and even you) have little to no control.

Do yourself a favor and don't join the military. GWB will send you to Iraq and you will be killed. He obviously has no regard for human life so don't let him have any control over yours.

yeah if you just want to be a usmc grunt they'll take anybody pretty much 8,18, or 80 blind, crippled, or crazy

All they need is a warm body but you can not be a flyer or a navigator
