The Zionists want the United States to enter war with Iran, just as they earlier successfully pushed the US government into war with Iraq.
The US government has a history of disregarding inconvenient laws, especially when the Zionists want them disregarded. And since the US government has so many nuclear weapons and is so powerful, who's going to be the heroic sheriff who can stop them? Huh? You?
The US government's agents lied against Martha Stewart. The US government's agents murdered Gordon Kahl. The US government's agents provoke wars against weaker countries with brazen impunity. About the only government that is morally crappier than the US government is the one in Israel.

I'll let others deal with the 'why'; the idea that international dictates the consulate is the territory of the country it belongs to and not the country it's in is useless. The reason for that is international law is not law at all - the international system is anarchic and as such, indeed by definition, there is no law. Therefore, if a building is located within a sovereign nation, that nation need only comply with its own domestic law regarding entry, search and seizure. And, even if it violates domestic law, it is the responsibility of that government to deal with it. The country of the consulate may balk, but unless it wants to risk war over computers and documents, or the principle of the matter (which it may) they can either accept the seizure or remove its personel and sever diplomatic ties with the offending nation.
Pretty simple.

The Iranians have been arming Iraqi Shia for years, also an act of war. The US arrested six Iranians, probably on aiding and abetting the terrorists, but I can't find the charges.
I wouldn't be surprised if the Iranians let the troops in, and then wired a news release saying we "raided" their consulate. (I'm not saying that is what happened, but I wouldn't be surprised if it did.)

I'm not sure but could it be because we have caught Iranian soldiers that were not in uniform attacking American and Iraqis in Iraq? It made the news a couple of weeks ago but got shut up really quick. Only ignorance and lack of education would cause one to compare what the US is trying to accomplish to WW2 Germans. You analysis is a bit reversed if you listen to the statements from the leadership of Iran they will be very much the "Hitler" in the war they will soon be starting. They are the ones wanting to wipe off the Earth all non-believers in Islam. It really does not matter much who starts the pending war as it is inevitable to happen as Iran has pledged to do so repeatedly.

And lots of French thought the Germans were just ducky.
What did Carter do when Iran took Americans hostage? Oh, that's right - NOTHING. I don't have any sympathy for Iran - they are calling for another Holocaust against Israel. Isn't genocide against international law?
Thanks for playing.

Probably to project Persia as weak, most likely to simply see how they would respond.
You pretty much answered your question though, I doubt anyone on here actually knows why we did it. We're the world bully as this other fellow said, we're the new Rome, though a currently less intelligent (meaning with our Bush administration) version of that former glory that was Ancient Rome.
We've unfortunately got our own Nero, we just have to wait it out, and be thankful that we at least don't have Cheney (Caligula)....or stand up and fight!

It wasn't an embassy nor a consulate sovereign to Iran it was a regular office building with a flag on it to identify them.
They are suspects being questioned...as they should be.
And as analogies go...France believed Germany wasn't hostile as the rest of the world...and thought Dialog would work.......until it was too late.

They probably believe they had a good reason, but as you pointed out under int'l. law, they had no right to invade that embassy,if the shoe was on the other foot,it would have been a much different story.I think Isreal will take care of Iran.

Bush is trying to elicit a response from Iran to make it look as though Iran is starting something. This worked with Israel: the two Israeli soldiers that were kidnapped by Lebanon was actually retaliation for the kidnapping of a Lebanese doctor and his brother. But not everyone knows that.

Israel Gave the puppet (GW) six months to attack Iran. The puppet knows we will bury him if he tries so he's hunting a declaration. He wants to remove choice.
Bush wants to chide Iran into declaring war on us. Then he has "Moral superiority" on his side. Look what he pulled in Iraq.
He's just an idiotic puppet run by the Zionist Rockefeller's
He has to force Iran into the first move but he's so stupid that he thinks we wont notice or that when we do it will be too late. George Bush is a loser and he's making a country of good hard working people losers too..
