Given their history of sensationalizing stories, jumping to conclusions and mis-reporting facts, they've caused a lot of damage to people over the years. They wave the "freedom of the press" clause around like it gives them the right to outright lie. Should laws be enacted that allow for extremely stiff penalties for such offenses, requiring them to compensate their hapless victims? Perhaps even the possibility of losing their license to publish or broadcast, depending upon the number and severity of offenses?

I am very upset with the Bangladesh Post Office..When I send my fiance a letter sometimes he gets it and sometimes he doesn't..I sent him a beautiful handmade Christmas card and he has not received it yet and i sent it well before Christmas...I put twice the amount of postage required and he still doesn't get it...What are they doing to my letter and why are they stealing it or throwing it in the trash can...Are they crazy? This makes me very upset..They did this last Fall with my pictures I sent him...I sent him nice pictures i made especially for him and he never got them...the address and postage are correct and verified so why they want to be soo hateful to me...Is it cause I am from USA? I think they hate USA and throw our letters in garbage can..Oh my! I am so upset

See another case has come up where the 'victim' has made false accusations in the past - with one being a close relative. She has remained anonymous, while the life of the accused has become almost unbearable. Of course we will be told women will find it harder to come forward if the law was changed, but is it time to realise some women know how quick the media are to jump to 'nasty man' conclusions...and when it's found that she was the guilty party, she can slink away while 'nasty man', without past dealings with the police will have to face what comes next; loss of employment, friends...and perhaps even self-respect?

Ok...last time i asked a question about presidents you all thought I was talking about George Bush, but i wasnt then and im not now. Now that thats out of the way....

I know this has never happened before, or at least i think, can a president pardon himself of crimes before being impeached or before the trial? I would think that they can but wont because it would just bring back tyranny to America?

Ive been to the hospital this morning and am facing a period of physiotherapy once a week over the course of a few weeks and then an operation. Am I entitled to take this time off work? My boss says I will have to book it as holidays or take it as sick, but its not really either.

My boss is saying if I dont take it as holiday, It wil be marked as sick, so I will be penalised for it. Anyone got any advice?

If I was actually sick with the flu or something, fair enough, but having compulsory treatment to get me fit to have an operation, surely my company cant penalise me for that?

I live in the UK.

Is that all the government knows about a handful of stolen rocket launchers in the hands of the australian community ?.You want want to shake in you boots as there's a lot more out there than rocket launchers .C3,C4 plastic explosive, ground to air missiles ,bullets that can penetrate any type of bullet proofing (stainsteel bullets with a copper coating so there is no barrel jam or scoring )and do you think that people in australian society would use these on the lucas heights reactor or parliment house? No ! ,as there got better places to go and see because the mentality of the australian's is to go some where quite and blow some thing up and lay back and have a beer .If some body wanted some thing to happen it would happen but it does not happen because no body wants it to happen? The australian government put too much regulation on society instead of having trust in society as society would stop a terrorist quicker because they know whats going on than the police or army? views ?
