Ok...last time i asked a question about presidents you all thought I was talking about George Bush, but i wasnt then and im not now. Now that thats out of the way....

I know this has never happened before, or at least i think, can a president pardon himself of crimes before being impeached or before the trial? I would think that they can but wont because it would just bring back tyranny to America?

No. A president can pardon or commute sentences for a crime, however the crime would have had to be carried out first, so that person would be charged with something.

Even the President can't say "This guy has been pardoned, so don't arrest him, even if he ever does commit a crime in the future."

And once the Senate boots a President from office, he/she no longer has Presidential power, so he/she cannot pardon a sentence.

In a way yes. Jefferson removed himself from having to stand trial. Only 2 Presidents have ever been impeached, Andrew Johnson and Bill Clinton. Impeachment does not mean immediate removal.

No, they can't.

The only time that I know of that any president has been pardoned was Ford pardoning Nixon the moment he took office.

Actually, impeachments of presidents have been rare themselves.

Well if he pardoned himself, would it not be an admission of guilt? When was the last time a president of any nation said "I'm sorry"?

I dont think a president could pardon himself of a crime, the pardon is granted by congress.

He can't pardon himself but he can resign before he can be impeached, as Nixon did.

I don't think so. If it was possible, why did Ford pardon Nixon? Nixon could have pardoned himself if you were right.
