The deployment of more troops to Iraq will only trigger for more bloodshed and isn't the diplomatic leaders' solutions. The action came too late when the world is calling for US pullout and therefore the addition of more troops will only bring death to the US troops making the international Islamic Jihadist to turn their blazing eyes on Iraq and innocent Iraqis. It doesn't worth because this is also one of the effects of war that devastate the conquered and the conquerers economic efforts.Iraq need to tabled and the military action is the matter of the past.

If you want a honest answer than lemme me tell u this more troops will bring more business to Kuwait based companies and more trouble to Iraq, bush has made a big mistake by invading Iraq the situation is going to get worse even if they leave Iraq, may god bless Iraq and it's people. and what strategy u r talking about this war has already killed more than 30000 people and IT IS NOT WORTH, in short people are going to suffer MORE.

I think he is trying to end the conflict as soon as possible. I do not know if the surge will be successful or not. It really depends on how the troops are used. At this time I see it for what it is, a change of strategy which has the potential for positive effect.

I don't think sending more troops to Iraq will help as it is too little, too late.
As long as there is not a draft and people keep volunteering to die for the lie in Iraq, then I really do not care, except for the misuse of our tax dollars going to a needless war of choice.

The US troops will get whatever job done they're assigned to.
In this war, our troops have not yet lost a single engagement. Of course, you'll never hear that in the media.
20k, 200k, 1 million, doesn't matter. We'll win with or without them.

I find it another failure to plan and lead. That it required several years to finally admit that the invasion of Iraq was poorly planned, and improperly implemented, and then a further delay to come up with a plan that further endangers our military forces by inserting them into the Iraqi quagmire only reinforces my belief that this escalation is not the answer, but rather a diversion while Bush and Cheney prepare to attack Iran.

I think he should have done it years ago.
I think the Dems need to support it & give the funding. They want to bring our troops home-and so do I-but we can't walk out and leave Iraq like it is. To leave, we have to send more men. I think 20k may not be enough.
