I would prefer if my country would just stay out of the affairs of others, unless it directly affected our security. Hence, if Saddam wanted to butcher his own people, so be it, it's none of our business.

Furthermore, I would like for our country to bring home our troops and equipment from overseas. Let's deal with our own problems at home first, and forget about problems abroad that don't affect us. Basically, I'm talking about isolationism, at least as far as military and support goes. Otherwise, doing business overseas should still continue.

We are by all accounts the single greatest body of people with the greatest government on the planet.

This has been true since WW I. We single handedly have rescued the rest of the world from two world wars, and now we're involved in rescuing the world from terrorists.

(This time around we have very strong and many allies, and they deserve the world's gratitude as much as we do. Just recently, Germany arrested, tried and sentanced a member of the so-called Hamburg Cell to a maximum prison sentance for his part in the 9/11 attacks. We could use all the help we can get from anyone.)

Great.
We talk and when the options all run out we back it up.

If you are not willing to back up your words you might as well not have a military and let them run over you.

As far as bullying we don't threaten to wipe nations off the map.
We don't go around denying the holocaust.

When you do the right thing you will never be popular.

It's a necessary evil.I DON'T think we should be imposing ourselves all over the unless we are directly threatened,or if we are not asked for help.
