Say I have over 500 acres of land and am self sufficient on most items, such as food, water and electricity. Could I secede from the government and form my own nation, thereby no longer needing to pay taxes? I could then export any additional food stocks grown that are beyond my own consumption, as well as electricity, while importing a few items, be they electronics, petroleum and so forth. Hell, maybe I could even apply for financial assistance, since the US government is so gung ho about dolling out US taxpayer money to every third-world, poverty invested sh*t hole.

My mom has rhuematoid arthritis in her knees.Her doctor told her to wear a certain kind of shoe.She did so.Okay so we went to a casino and the floor tiling was such that it would stick up un even because the texture was supposed to duplicate a golden nugget.My mom gets in there and falls, busts up her knees, that had just been replaced, and her chin.So some of the employees come out and say "Did she fall in that bad spot righ there"?(indicating to me that they knew there was a bad spot there.)Anyway they take my mom to this room and take pictures of her knees, he chin and her shoes.
What would you have done?Long story short she settled for a free room and buffett or something like that, but I was having visions of mansions with swimming pools and fancey cars for all of us LOL

The local Salvation Army, where I live, feels the need to take over low-income families checking accts. Who gives them this authority? State and Federal agencies don't even ask for this information. Who regulates the policies and procedures within these organizations? How are low-income families being protected? Why don't these organizations have to follow the same policies and procedures as any other organization? Finally, who gave the salvation army the right to threaten garnishment of anyone's wages??

okay i bought a car from a buy here pay here place and im just wandering what legal action can i bring against them for selling me a lemon car. But the problem is i bought the car as is and i know i was stupid and im learning now from this situation. I have a friend who four years ago got charged with forgery of a financial instrument. Was releaed on bail, then never heard anything of it again. That was June of 03. Now he is a good man, got baptized, has a family and a daughter but yet is in constant fear of being taken from his family for this charge. Although it happened so long ago he has never been told his charges were dropped, still pending..nothing. Please somebody give me some matter of fact advice for this poor guy. If this helps the guy lives in TX.
