Not everyone has the ability or wants to be a professional. We have taken pride in so called "low-end" jobs. All are needed and citizens have the right to those jobs without having to compete for them with people who shouldn't even be here. We have the right to work as well. What's the excuse for lack of motivation and drive for these "slave laborers" from other countries and why aren't they "professionals" in their own home country? Mexico doesn't have Dr.s? I mean there are successful and rich people there too? There's rich in South America too. What's the problem? They have colleges and schools. What's their excuse? You don't see our poor invading other countries and taking jobs from them. Why is it our duty to put this country into ruin because of the failure of another country. Get pissed at them. They did it not me.

I have plenty of drive and determination unfortunately a lot of my motivation has been taken away from me by the UK government because of the sky high taxes I have to pay.. We pay 90p per litre for unleaded petrol, a packet of fags is atleast £4 (Idont smoke), I pay my local council almost £1,000 a year in local tax to live in my own home plus further taxes from my salary ofcourse. In the UK we also pay Value Added Tax at 17.5% on most goods and services and a reduced amount on gas and electricity. I did work it out once that almost 50% of what I earn goes to the state. Can you see why the Brits have had a guts full. Yes we do have a sort of free health service (its not free really cus the workers pay for it) but you can wait months sometimes years for operations or none life threatening treatment. No I dont blame the illegals for wanting to take advantage of the services I pay for I blame the governement for allowing it

when illegals take jobs they lower the wage offered. so what if there are no jobs and poverty in your country? change your country, make it better. what is wrong with becoming documented and legally entering a country? why are there Hispanic protesters chanting that they are good Americans and waving Mexican flags (or other Hispanic countries of origin). i do not doubt the positive impact of immigrants, however why can't the same immigrants become LEGAL immigrants. when illegals flood into a country, they overwhelm the services and supplies. they change the economy (negatively in the long run) because they take jobs from legal Americans who cannot survive on the wages that illegals are willing to work for. Canada has a thriving economy, and employment, so maybe that is why we don't patrol that border with such fervor.

He's right, if all of you bums would go to med school then we could get the cost of health care down. But then the pay would become to low cause every one could do it, and we'd have to bring in more illegals to start being DR's. Bummer, guess there's no way to win here.

I don't understand why everyone in the United States has to become a "doctor or other professional." I'll never understand that. I think an honest days work deserves an honest days wages-PERIOD no matter what the job is.

Every person in the country can't be a professional. Everyone doesn't have the opportunity to go to college, grad school, etc. I guess you don't care about them. You only feel sorry for people who are trespassers in the country.

i don't blame them for anything except taking my tax dollars when they should go to someone more deserving. they are going to bankrupt us. oh and another thing, if all of us legal americans go to school to be doctors and other professionals, how would we be able to find jobs? you think there's job openings for 300 million doctors in this country?
