My mom has rhuematoid arthritis in her knees.Her doctor told her to wear a certain kind of shoe.She did so.Okay so we went to a casino and the floor tiling was such that it would stick up un even because the texture was supposed to duplicate a golden nugget.My mom gets in there and falls, busts up her knees, that had just been replaced, and her chin.So some of the employees come out and say "Did she fall in that bad spot righ there"?(indicating to me that they knew there was a bad spot there.)Anyway they take my mom to this room and take pictures of her knees, he chin and her shoes.
What would you have done?Long story short she settled for a free room and buffett or something like that, but I was having visions of mansions with swimming pools and fancey cars for all of us LOL

Was she badly hurt? If any of her injuries required medical attention, I would at least want the Casino to pay for that. If she was only wounded but didn't need medical attention, the free room and buffet was probably a good gesture. But I would at least send them a letter telling them you would expect them to fix the "bad spot". If there is indeed a spot on the floor that is dangerous and they do nothing, they are setting themselves up for a huge lawsuit.

She fell down and went boom for pete sake, she evidently was not injured to the point of requiring medical intervention.
If as you say your mother has a medical condition, of which she is aware of, that causes her difficulty walking/ special shoes and she was about to traverse an enven floor that is clearly decoratively made uneven then her judgment to cross that floor would come into play. If she had seen a tank of sharks and chosen to jump in and got bit, it would not be the casinos fault it would be hers.
Maybe it is poor judgment to have that particular floor of a casino, but it was also poor judgment on her part to have attempted to walk across it.
If there is a so-called "bad spot" in the floor that is unsafe then the casino holds and obligation to its patrons to fix it.
She was not permanently hurt - and I think the casino showed good customer service in offering her a room and a meal.
