The media has been reporting that things are not going well so I guess this change in policy by Bush confirms their reportage and not White House spin.

Hmmmmmm. Who do you now trust more? The free press or Bush?

We have lost Iraq. Bush is the last to know!

We aren't sending 20,000 troops anywhere as the congress wont pay for them. Maybe Bush will try talking to them BEFORE he does things. I think the 110th Congress isn't about to give Bush anymore blank checks, or any checks with no oversight! The days of the corrupt 109th Republican Congress is over!!!!!

#1 -- this administration only understands force.
#2 -- changing strategy now would be admitting that we were wrong to invade in the first place.

Because if you bother to listen to anyone, we have enough troops to fight the insurgents or provide security, but not enough for both tasks.

The media is the one creating the problems and the Democrats are giving them credence.
