Every fictional president I can think of ("Dave", "The American President", President Bartlet from "The West Wing", etc.) has been a democrat.

In my whole life I cannot recall a single instance where a republican president has been positively portrayed.

There are frequent instances where fictional republican presidents or presidential candidates are negatively portrayed, such as in "The American President" when Richard Dreyfuss plays Senator Bob Rumson, the republican candidate for next president, showing him cackling gleefully and rubbing his hands together proclaiming, "It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!"

In other words, in fictional film and television, I've seen only democrats portrayed as political heroes and republicans as villains.

Are there any fictitious republican heroes? In ANY movie or television show ever made?

My cousin was arrested for selling drug (hes a idiot) in Texas because of a warrant. Well he has been in for 2 months and they have issued a bill of indictment against him. Ok I always thought a indictment was a charge issued by a grand jury. But he was arrested and has been in jail for 2 months now. Don't arrest come AFTER indictments?

Here's some things I know about his case. He sold weed to a undercover police officer. The next week they got a warrant from the JP and arrested him. So why do they need a indictment if he had a warrant? To me it sound like he was charged by the JP and the grand jury.

After a huge fight at a store where he hit the window of my car and screamed profanities we left because other people threatened to call the police. When we finally got to his house so I could drop him off he wouldn't let me leave for 3 hours and then when I finally got out of the car--at his house-- he held me so I couldn't move and dragged me across the lawn. He ripped the keys from my hand so I was stuck there. He never hit me though. He claims it wasn't but not sure what to do--I was afraid.

I've read that we should look at illegals as victims. I'm sorry, after my experiences, I honestly can't. In the four (yes, 4) times my car was hit (twice while parked in front of my house, once I was rear ended at a stoplight, and once I was t-boned by a woman speeding down an alley), NONE of the people had insurance, and only 2 had licenses. Miraculously, they "forgot" how to speak english once the police got on the scene. So, 4 seperate times, I'm stuck paying my deductible with no way of getting it back from these folks. Meanwhile, due to people like this, everyone who abides by the law by carrying insurance has to deal with premiums that creep up, through no fault of their own. Anyone had a similar situation? Understand where I'm coming from?

of the decisions of legislators having a negative impact on the citizens because of lobbyists if that makes sense. Its pretty muc saying, because lobbyists foced legislators to vote on a bill, it negatively impacts the citizens ie. unlimited drug use.

The reason I ask this question is because David Hicks has been held for 5 years without trial in Cuba. The reason why I ask this is because an American also picked up in Afghanistan was given a smack on bum and sent home.Very few people believe that Hicks will get a fair trial the only fair trial he would get is in his own country.
He could get the death penalty BY A RIGGED COURT.

Hello, my son is a Marine and has deployed to Iraq two times. He's an infantryman, he's been through a lot, and has seen more than his young age should ever have seen. He has less than 10 months left in service out of his four year contract.

My son was just informed that they are sending him back to Iraq for the 3rd time. Sure, the military can do what they want but isn't there a regulation limiting the amount of deployments a person has to go through? One time was scarey, two times I feared for his life daily. The third time, I fear that this could be his death sentence. I am proud that my son has served honorably and am satisfied that he has given his all to our country. But, I don't want him to go back again. What's the best way to keep him stateside and to allow him to finish his enlistement honorably?

Any help or advice would be appreciated. Meet three of my son's close friends at the following web site:

I don't have any intention of doing this, it's just that a character does that in a fictional piece I'm writing and I'm wondered whether it would be realistic for him to get arrested or not?

And if you didn't understand the question the way I worded it in the title, basically if they give him money the kid hacks into the computer system and changes grades for other students...would he be arrested if he were caught?
