I am sure he has done something good, I just can't think of anything! As far as like him, NO, there is not a reason!

Well let's see? Successful in business, overcoming a drinking problem, successful two-term governor of a large state, having the bravery and intelligence to master a dangerous (every flight gets hazardous duty pay) and uber complicated fighter/bomber, being a two-term President of the USA, ending Sadam's reign of terror and giving the Iraq people hope for the future, convincing Libya that its not a good idea to fool with the USA, overcoming the barriers between the USA and and an established republic that is projected to be the world's second largest economy in a few years (India, by recognizing them as an atomic power), ending the Taliban's reign of terror, standing up to the stupidities of the France/Russia block, etc, etc, etc. That was an easy answer. Of course, what thinking person wouldn't?

Caninelegion you forgot to mention consistency; staying the course in the face of opposition from people whose understanding of foreign affairs could be held in a thimble; doing his job without worrying about popularity; the tax cuts that put hundreds to thousands of our hard earned dollars back in our pockets and allowed small business owners to continue to make our communities livable; there's more but but it's futile to continue here. People grabbing onto an idea they've heard and repeating it without any investigation of their own is the norm. Here's something I find curious. People want to hold the president to standards that they aren't willing to live up to themselves. If people can't see anything good at all, they aren't looking. If you think your guy is always right and the other guy is always wrong you're either dumb, a hypocrite, uninformed, or worse, all of the above. Our politics and our political system isn't perfect, nor are the people we put office. However, we're a lot better off than most countries. I think all these people who think things are so bad here should go live in another country for a year. Perhaps one of the third world crappers where people are mowed down in the streets because of their religion or political views or because they have opposing political views of their tyrannical, murderous, war mongering, totalitarian, starving his own people so he can have 50 mansions, "leader".

Yes, yes, yes! How could you not like Mr. Bush? First off, he has a great twang that makes everyone feel a little smarter. Second, he is a "decider". Finally, and most importantly, he is getting way ahead of the national debate on this: he's fit! My word, with a country racked by obesity, Mr. Bush is a shining example of how to be!

You have to admire the man. He is a salesman to the core. If he was in Ireland here over the last 20 years he would have developed over 8 new books in selling insurance for the Royal Live Society. I know because my father is a salesman. But my father has a thing called inbuilt ethics. He says it is in his DNA. HE also helped so many people with their family problems as my great-grandmother before me. I also am a counsellor so I find it so funny it the way it comes out in different children. My daughter has also helped many friend while in college to help with their pregnancies or to prevent same.
But poor auld Bush got his **** between his brains and the celss are divided. He looks well but he has done it all wrong. The awfulthing is he is making millions out of it. Economics of Supply and Demand are milking their way through Bush's brain and at the same time he is supporting the makers/buyer/sellers of artillery that are keeping your country going. He is saying this is the only real businsss - I'm making a few million, so is the country, each of my friends are making a million also ------- it's the gravy train. It is his way forward. Make money on war. I think they call it "going Forward"!

He shouldn't have been elected at the first place. But with US election system, it was the one who had the less votes that passed. The 1st election.
After as a French I see no reason to like him.

Well hss is funny, because he can't speak well...(funny living with a librarian you'd think he'd know more...)
He doesn't (personally go around having sex with all the young interns)...I think his wife would shoot him.
I'm sure he has some good qualities I know nothing about...
It's also hard to 'like' a person if you don't know them personally.
You can decided NOT to like their politics, their demeanor....
So I'd have to know the man to like him...

The 30% that still approve of that moron must have a reason. I guess they find something in common with him like their extra high IQs. They obviously don't mind if the president and his administration lies repeatedly to the American public, trashes our relationship to many previous allies, sucks a much bigger chunk of our tax money to return to his rich friends, and best of all sends our sons and daughters off to a war and says "Bring it on" to our adversaries. I guess its all OK though because the Mission is Already Accomplished!

From Bush we learned that our precious government has some major cracks. There's the only silver lining I found. But will we do anything about it? It's OUR government, not the other way around.

I like the fact that he can't be reelected! Honestly though, in a truly uncharacteristic move, he set aside the northern Hawaiian Islands as the largest nature preserve ever created by an American president. That is about the only laudable thing he has done, IMO.
