I've heard that 'ignorance of the law is no excuse', but I also know that there are libraries filled with laws and that new legislation is comonly 1000+ pages long. How is the comon person to keep up?

This might sound weird, but I really believe that every law should fit into a the size of a couple phone books at most (Federal and State). After that every page of new laws enacted should require another page of law to be retracted. This would allow people to keep up with what is going on and maybe this would keep legislatures from slipping obscure laws into 1000 page bills.

I thought this sounded crazy until I watched a video with Milton Freedman (Nobel winning economist); he agrees. I forget which one: http://video.google.com/videosearch?hl=en&lr=&safe=off&q=%22milton%20friedman%22&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wv Irregardless, he has interesting views on limited government; and he speaks plain english.

Also:
Phase out income tax and phase in polution tax.
Financially reward poor kids' families for their child's high academic achievement (in lieu of handouts).

Nice question.

9. Each person can worship as they see fit, but
America still trusts in God as it has been up until
now with no removals of Christian symbols like
Christmas trees, the Nativity scenes, any songs
with Jesus or God words in them, crosses, jewelry
with Christian symbols, Merry Christmas words etc.
10. When the jails and prisons are filled to capacity, then
the next one that needs to be there is admitted but
the one that's been there the longest is then put to
death to make room for one more. This way we won't
have to keep building more and more prisons.

Remember that wealth is not distributed in the first place and therefor can not be "redistributed".

The basic - like murder, rape ect. But what we don't need are seatbelt, insurance laws or laws restricting smoking ect. These types of laws are just a waste of tax payer money and many border on the line of being communist.

truthfully. it somewhat is a 2 way highway. the everybody is obliged to stick to the guidelines, yet so are those charged with imposing the regulation. it somewhat is the glue that holds loose societies jointly. whilst the Romans and Greeks have been early pioneers, the thinkers of the enlightenment, with John Locke in all probability the main influential, truly elaborated on those innovations and the philosophy in the back of them.
