Is it legal for an officer to beat on the door and tell you they have a warrant, then threaten to knock down the door if you don't open it?
Even if they are lying about having one and don't have you sign it or show it to you until the following day.

I don't...and my position is justified..the funny thing is that people complain...yet, by my freedom of speech, the very freedom that they say that they are protecting, seems to be forgotten...I will "never forget" that.

I asked people whether it was legal for a company to carry on trading from a dept that had been closed down, and the question was removed! And I didn't get an email telling me why! Does anyone have the answer as to why this was removed? Maybe someone at yahooanswers themselves...

Yesterday an auto-rickshaw driver mis-behaved with me in Bangalore (India). Even though he initially agreed to charge only what comes in the meter but after we reached our destination he demanded Rs. 5 extra (meter + Rs. 5).

When I disagreed, he threatened to beat me by raising his hands on me. I have noted down the license plate of the auto-driver. It is "KA 05 B9147". Where can I report this incident? Can I do it online or simply by mailing some authority?

Basically I just want to know what ID I need to take with me to the French consulate - the website is useless and doesn't provide any clues at all.

Also, does anyone know how long it takes to actually get the new passport - I seem to remember it only taking a few mins last time but I can't be sure.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If half the 2006 DOD budget of $442 billion (not counting $85 billion supplemental) were invested elsewhere (infrastructure, education, subsidies, direct foreign aid) would the rate of return be higher? Has anyone tried to quantify the value of geo-political capital that hegemony provides?
Serious answers only please, take your vitriol elsewhere.

Many leaders and officers can not maintain their good image in the society after they reach to the post even though they bear excellent knowledges and better ideas to gear up the country .Why they forget their duties and responsibilities towards developing the nation?Their little effort contributes a lot and benefits many people.Inspite they do not follow the principles which they always use to brief and impress others when they are at lower place. The politicians, they fight keeping their life in danger and finally dissolve with whom they fought being an enemy. I got many views even though i want to collect more ideas from many people around me.So i expect your elegent answers.............please

Long story short. My wife is a US citizen, I'm a UK citizen and we are settled in the UK. Before my wife and I were married (we were just dating at the time) I was refused entry to the US to visit her. After that, when we were engaged and she was going to be moving here, I applied for a B visa via the US embassy to help her move and they refused the application, saying 'I could not prove ties to the UK' despite the fact my family are here, my fiancee had a visa to live in the UK and we had a wedding booked in the UK! We are now married and want to be able to visit my in-laws. We need to be able to do this at short notice because they are not in good health etc. Has anyone else been in this situation or does anyone know what visa options there are for it? It seems that unless we want to settle in the US, we have to apply every time and go through the interview process etc. They refused it without reason last time and we have no idea what to do.

He gave shitbag bush a surplus he squandered that and now we have a humungous deficit. What a great shitbag president he is.

He sent soldiers off to fight , not for our freedom , but for his own personal agenda and managed to destroy a country that had nothing to do wqith 9/11 in the process. what a great president.

Clinton lied about Lewinski: noone died. two people came.
bush lied about wmd: almost 4000 us troops and over 600,000 innocent Iraqi civillians died.
Clinton gave China secrets
bush gave an innocent country death, gave a powerful nation an unstable economy, gave a powerful nation a gigantic debt and gave us also a never ending war for our grand childrens grandchildren to enjoy.

bush let the the binladen family go.... his ticket to capturing Osama.
bush has dinner with the Saudis, the supposed perpetrators of 9/11

Clinton was a 1000 times the president shitbag bush is
