Because all that Politicians want from you is your vote to get them power, once they have power you and the rest of the population are of no further interest or value.
Politicians are self seeking and corrupt individuals who look to pursue their own self interest by any means. Many were lawyers that speaks for itself.
We do not live in a democracy if we did the UK would not be in Iraq or Afghanistan.
B-liar and his cronies do as they wish and continue to claim they have the mandate of the UK electorate, that is totally untrue.
Currently our politicians B-liar are condoning Saudi corruption and payments of ($ Multi million) commissions by BAE. If you did it you would be in jail.
As for the public, we get more depressed and disillusioned with politicians.
The whole issue of economic immigration was a scheme to reduce the pay demands of UK nationals by bringing in cheap labour that has the effect of suppressing salaries.
A fine mess.
To solve it - Proportional Representation - It would mean no government was too stong or strong enough to disregard the people who voted for them. "Politicians hate PR" as they are held responsible and are restricted in their actions.

Because they have realised, unlike the majority of the country, that politics is the art of the possible. If its easy, pass an act in Parliament. If its hard, ignore it. A politician doesn't want to do any thing that might upset his (or her) nice comfortable, well-paid life. After all when was the last time that Tony Blair worked at the profession that British taxpayers supported him studying for? Anyway who can trust an assembly that has 640 members but only has seats for less than half that number?

The vast majority of Immigrants from Mexico pay what is called a "coyote" that much money or often times more to smuggle themselves into the country. If the United States actually reformed its immigration laws to make it easier for people to apply for legal status what person in their right mind would not rather pay that money to get processed legally then risk dying in the desert or getting shot by a so called "minuteman?" The problem is that the costs to get yourself from Mexico to the U.S legally average somewhere around $20,000 to $30,000. You must higher a lawyer, file petitions, find a sponsor etc.I also find it quite interesting that it is much more difficult for people of certain countries to enter the country than others. Meaning, there is no blanket immigration law it varies depending upon the country of origin. A person coming from the UK has a much easier time entering then say someone from Mexico. You can draw your own conclusions on why that is, I have made mine years ago. I agree immigration needs to be reformed, we should make it much easier for hard working, good people to be a part of the American Dream we all share.

The government doesn't see or hear you, because you are living in a capitalist system.

First of all it's a two-party system. You get a choice between Coke or Pepsi, between Mineral Water or Purified Water, between eating warm **** or eating cold ****. You have very little choice.

Secondly, the mechanism of government in the capitalist system is not designed to see or hear the people. It is designed to see and hear the interests of the rich, of the wealthy elite who participate in either the government itself or the upper corporate structure.

They can see and hear you, but the fact is, you and every other worker in the country are not really their concern. The people become their concern if they endanger the government, or the system, but other than that the government looks out only for itself and it's corporate bedfellows.

Here, Here!
What about us poor bloody natives?
Bloody Blair and his High Treason- don't get me started. I think that one of the best ways is to actually direct your vote to an alternate party, especially one that looks after Our own interest, that is the indigenous Caucasian Christian British Isles born person.
If i were you I'd vote BNP- I may not agree with all their policies but at least they'll bring back hanging.

It doesn't matter who you vote for the same always happens. Leader of country takes things upon themselves and we have to put up with it...like it or lump it. We don't really live in a democracy we live in a country where people have freedom of speech....no one listens so you can say what you want

Did you vote in the last election? That's the only way to get your voice heard. It's called democracy.
