We will see IEDs in the US in about two to five years but not because of the war in Iraq. The relevant factor that will unleash violent chaos is the coming currency collapse. Like all multicultural societies the internal peace of the US is fragile; it won't survive a deep economic depression. Unfortunately that's exactly what's coming....
The US dollar has been falling in value for decades mostly because of the American addiction to borrowing. This slow collapse has in recent months begun to pick up speed. Most of the colossal debt that American society has piled up is owned by foreign banks who are increasingly unwilling to loan more and even worse, are visibly trying to get rid of the dollars they already have. Nobody wants to be the last fool sitting on a pile of dollars when their value declines to nothing so the selloff is beginning to pickup speed as well. When it hits fever pitch, the dollar will go into freefall precipating economic meltdown in the US followed by a deep, deep Depression.
And then things on the streets of the late, great USA are going to start to get interesting.
Wait and see....

One of the reasons you won't find IEDs used in the US in the same manner and numbers as in Iraq is that we have better ways to account for people. Ever wonder about too much freedom? Most people in the US are observed and recorded in some way day to day. If you go to the store and buy components for a road side bomb it might set off bell in someones head. If groups of people are meeting regularly in the same spot people might get suspicious. Most Americans have too much too lose and are connected to well to the "grid". (The "grid" meaning the network of information about people, I.E credit card records, phone bills, Internet cookies, etc.) Any group attempting to make road side bombs would most likely be identified long before they could implement their plan. (Much like all of the cases of planned terrorist attacks on US soil since Sept. 11; and there have been several plots.) Another thing to consider is the pride most Americans have for their country. A majority of people either are proud of their country or are indifferent. I have never known an indifferent person to do something for a cause that would jeopardize the rest of their life. Even the people who don't take pride in the United States don't want foreign or domestic people going through the streets blowing up innocent civilians. Every person is the family of someone else. (This concept can easily be lost to most insurgents since many of them come either from another region than the one they fight in, or another country all together.) Simply put, the American people will collectively not allow it to happen. It has nothing to do with better military, we could easily destroy ANY military that opposes us. Insurgents rely on certain tactics such as being clandestine about their plans and remaining off any sort of "grid". (Which is, once again, MUCH harder to do in the United States.) Well there's my opinion. Hope it's short and sweet enough for you. Yours truly,

those forms of questions divide the country that's now attempting to pick what to do. no one needs conflict or for it to come back right here. To even recommend that's basically undeniable stupid. yet does not or not that's more beneficial if lets settle our variations peacefully. Or do you Republicans favor to initiate bombing the houses of Democrats? you're so radical I realize it should not be lengthy until eventually you'd be. does not a significantly better answer be to pick what's a superb thanks to attend to this? I choose the human beings would get at the same time and vote all of them out of workplace. basically because of human beings like you. they are getting fearful of radicals like you.

How long?
IEDs? They made one already. When Bin Laden blew up the WTC is the 90s...
There won't be a militant following because our force vs. force is a loss for them. We are better trained, better equipped, and we have more numbers.

You're right, it is a scary question. That is why we need to fight terrorism THERE not HERE.
For Sloppy, when was the last time you were in Iraq? You say the majority don't want us there. The people doing this are insurgents and they are using cowardly tactics to kill innocent Iraqi's. Maybe you ought to go there and see for yourself what is really going on and STOP relying on the media for your misinformation.

Your question is absolutely ridiculous and not scary at all.
Roadside bombs are possible in Iraq because the majority of Iraqis do not want US troops in their county and the majority support attacks on US forces in Iraq.
Grow up or grow a pair for chrissakes.
Don't lecture me, 4what it'sworth. Tell us all about your daring heroics in Iraq, tough guy.
