If treaties have any meaning for them they would. Most of the treaties were broken by the white people and so this country was founded on lies, explotation, greed and violence. As you sew......

I believe that the government should honor the treaties that were made especially since the gov't forced its way across the nation.
and made slaves of them. my ancestors were forced to build the missions in Calif. and my tribe never had a trety with the gov't so i could never partake in the scholarship thing or the tax credit thing. and,, if you look on a current map of Indian nations or tribes, you wont find mine as it is supposed to be.. they have changed the name.. I am an Ohlone Indian look on the map it'll call us Coastonoan

yes, and we should be givin more of our land back! i'm also sick and tired about ppl cryin about Mexicans comin over the border, and tryin to keep them out and sending them back, maybe we should have done that to the first white ppl that came over here, hey that would be the same right? But the U.S Government doesn't care about anything like that and never will, just like the first time

Yes it does. Many tribes still want to live off the land and we've made it impossible for them to do so. It's very humbling to see how they live.

As far as them abiding by their own laws then yes. But if more land is requested then no, and the reason I say that, is because if we just keep on giving back more and more land, then our economy is going to start to fall fast. They have plenty of land for sacred practices, but if they want more land, then they can cohabbit with us. I actually wish that we could just mesh all of the land together instead of sanctioned, but instead just permit their practices everywhere and their laws (which can be reviewed, because I'm not aware of them, but I'm sure an understanding and common ground can be made).
