Should we take an actor's opinion on politics serious? Do they use their fame to push their politics? Are most of them liberal because they feel guilty for having money or because being liberal is what is popular at the moment?

This is my first winter in my rental home, and I have discovered that there is little to no weatherstripping on ANY of the windows. Any time the wind blows (which is often) it is FREEZING in every room of the house. There are also HUGE gaps around the front and back doors that are not stripped. I called my landlord and left a voicemail requesting she get back to me- no response.

I live in Arizona, and have tried looking up all the tenant laws, they say that she is responsible for making the house "fit and habitable"- I don't know if insulation and weatherstripping falls into this category or not. I only know I'm sick of running the heater 24/7 in the warmest state in the country because this place won't hold any warmth due to the massive gaps.

Anyone have any insight?

I'm a 21 yr old Malaysian citizen and I've got a diploma certificate in Tourism. Is there any way I could earn a working Visa to enter the states? I'm just thinking of working there a few years to gain some experience b4 I settle down. Please advise me some of the proper channels I could apply for this. Thanks!!

when I see the current situation of the 21st century politices and social stracture( mined you I am not a professional in these regards), everything seems to be worsening. The political system advocated by ancient phiosophers such as "democracy", "Justice", 'egaliterianism", etc. seems to be theoritical devises to play the power play of politics in a very cunning manner. No political thoughts or ideas seems to be brining any relief to the suffering of man in this world. Don't count the less than 10 % the world population who seems to be economically better off (about the figure also I am not professional, forgive me)
Look at what is going on in Africa, Asia, latin America, midle-east, for that matter US and Europe. What hope do makind has to enjoy life to its fullness.

The Preamble of the Declaration of Independence states:

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed, by their Creator, with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness."

So according to the philosophy of the founders of this country, its obvious that this country was founded on the principle that freedom was not something that is granted by a government, but is the birthright of every human being. If this is the basis for human life, and the values we as Americans hold dear, are we not hypocrites to deny those who desire the same freedoms we enjoy every day? I say that anyone who wishes to deny another of the freedoms stated in our most precious historic document is not worthy of those same freedoms in the first place.

my ex forged my signature to gain ownership of my dog, although i can prove he forged my signature the police will not help as it is a "domestic case" so basically they dont want to get involved and i need a lawyer and solicitor, i really REALLY want my dog back but do not have the money for solicitors and lawyers.
