No one seems to be making a fuss about this, surely it is more important than the "pounds for peerages" nonsense?

I have 3 people in the room with 3 differnt positions on this.
One says the death penalty is the only suitable punishment...............................................................................................

The second person says (and this is not me saying this),
"in one fell swoop he did his bit for
the prevention of Aids, decreased the funding sent to organized crime
from drugs, took 5 mingers out of our site and saved the public benefit
system 5 flats and 5x the state benefit. Unless I'm missing something, shouldn't we be giving him a medal or something"................................................................................................

And I say the death penalty is way too good and is just a easy way out that means he will never suffer much unlike the familys of those he's killed. I say we lock him in a cell for the rest of his life with a 22 stone homo rapist and a life time supply of Viagra.

Who's view do you agree with?

Reposted due to my first question not showing on the board grrr wheres my 5 points!? :o)

Could someone tell me why?
Ever since i started using answers, there has been countless questions asking about President Bush's competance/agendas/policies etc.

All of the people discussing the president seem to really dislike him and the vast majority of them are from the U.S.

I have never once seen one good comment about him or one person praising him! What do the American public really think of him, and if you really do dislike him as much as it seems, how the hell did he get back into office?

This is a serious question and I'm not trying to be insulting or patronising so sensible answers please.

Colin Powell spoke up yesterday urging an immediate build up in armed forces. Is there a clear and present danger to the U.S?
The lessons of WWII and the cold war shows that the world cannot be conquered as long as the economic might of the U.S. exist.
Solution to this: Crash the U.S. economy beforehand.
The events of 9/11 was a failed attempt to do just that. The attack on the World Trade Center was an attempt to upset the world currency market, which could cripple capitalism on a global scale. It's likely this failed attempt will not be the last.
We are facing an enemy that has tapped into a global population of 1 billion people to raise its army. Under the guise of religious tenet, they have been training their army for decades. If this group is successful, they have the potential of raising an army of 50 million strong.
Is Powell right? Is our current active duty troop levels of 500,000 enough to stop this rising tide?

The Minister of Culture, Tessa Jowell, seems perfectly happy for the TV license to double in cost in the next 5 years. Yet, according to independent surveys, the vast majority of license payers think that the cost is already extortionate. My question is: Should politicians that do not represent our best interests* stay in office? After all isn't that their job?
*It is not in our best interests too pay whopping wages to the BBC executive or waste money on racist crap like the Eurovision Song Contest.

I know several families that have loved ones in the military and they are being told that their next missions will be either in South Korea or Africa. Does this mean we are pulling out of Iraq considering the fact everyone says we need MORE troops in Iraq.
