I believe that the Bush legacy will become clear in the next two years. What the Dems do and don't do will finally be out front. Since nobody who would be running is currently apart of the Bush team/legacy it will be wide open and a clear evaluation of his accomplishments in office will come down the road.

I also agree that the next two years are crucial. If we can stabilize Baghdad, and train enough Iraqi military and police to take over, I believe the American people will want a strong President to continue the fight against any extremists wanting to do harm to America.

If the situation does not improve, I believe the people who think we can "talk" and "negotiate" with countries who are aiding and abetting terrorists, will elect an appeaser.

President Bush's legacy will not be known for many years, and I'm sure the knowledgeable, as well as those whose only info comes from the main stream media will continue the vitriolic debate.

I like to look at patterns going back in history the pendulum seems to swing back and forth in a pretty regular way Johnson/wimp to Nixon/tough guy, to Carter/wimp to Reagan,Bush/tough guy, to Clinton/wimp to Bush/tough guy it looks like there is a possibility we are due for a wimp again.
