Everyone who took a condescending tone to answer this question and said something like "do some research" owes the asker an apology.
What the hell do you think this question was? Research.
Just answer the question without being a jerk about it, roger?

You do realize that the US has had troops in South Korea since the 1950's right? We have also had a presence in many African nations for a few decades now. For example, we have two Special Forces Groups that focus on Africa only (3rd Group is assigned most of Africa itself, while 5th Group has responsibility over the Horn of Africa), not to mention the Marines guarding US Embassies. A little research can go a long ways...
EDIT: To the poster below me, I stand by what I said. If I come off as rude, so be it. In the amount of time to get a good answer here, you could easily look it up and not only find the answer yourself, but practice valuable reseraching skills, and maybe learn other things as well. And if you are so worried about people answering the question, why didnt you answer it yourself? Also, look at the tone of the question, as well as the other questions the individual asked. He clearly has an agenda, with a biased opinion, and is trying to incite people.

Your lost.
We have been in Korea since the 50's. i have done three tours there.
Africa has been around just about as long. I have had several Soldiers do six month to one year tours there with a stint in Egypt for me.
Edit -
Mad Squid, Get an education. The Question was, and I quote:
"Guess where the US troops are being deployed now??"
That is not asking if there are troops in Korea. That is not asking if we are going to put troops in either of those locations. That is a statement in the form of a question. If this guy really did know several families PCS'ing to these locations, he would know that they are duty assignments, not deployments.
So why don't you do some research. You only made yourself look rediculous.
Do a bit of research.

No. We have always had soldiers, airmen, sailors, and Marines deploy to South Korea and some areas of Africa. This is nothing new. And pulling out of Iraq...it'd be a HUGE mistake to do so and itd continue to be sad days when we send more. I wouldnt expect a pullout anytime soon.

Somalia is the short answer. The Boogy-Islam Man has shown his face. The new CIA manufactered enemy is treatening America's interests in Africa... coffee beans!!! Thank God the CIA fought and killed off the Banana thieves in Guatemala in 1954 thru 1996 war.
Rumour has it that when the Islamo-fascist is defeated by Bushco the new enemy will be Christo-fascists in the Bible belt of the USA.
American arms manufacturers and service suppliers like Haliburten needs a new Boogy-man when one is destroyed. But the poor and the uninformed are recruited into US military service to die for the Big Money Men, getting fat a the spilled blood of naive American and Canadian and British and...

No, it means there are still troops in those places and someone has a PCS change of orders.
BTW, we have been in Korea since the 50's and Africa almost as long.

Where did he get that info from? Sounds like a rumor. The US Gov. isn't usually in the business of forecasting their military moves. Have you/he heard this from any other sources?
