It is obvious to me that most people hate George W. with his extremely low approval rating. Did you know that if you type miserable failure on google the first thing that comes up is a biography of George W.?
The time to pull out of Iraq came a long time ago, and the best thing we could do is just leave there asap. The fighting has been getting worse, and the only reason American soldiers die now is beacuse they get caught in the crossfire of current civil war there.

Does the war in Iraq bring back memories of boring history lessons of the revolutionary war. A strong empire with there fancy red coats and well trained soldiers. The super power of the 18th century lost that war and it was the birth of a new super power the United States of America. It has been said that history repeats it self and it hard to shake this feeling of deadly déjà vu. Our pride and over confidence will surely be our downfall and though we may not wear red coat our methods may be just as obvious to men and women in the middle east that are not held by tradition and policy. It is ignorant to attempt to combat an Idea like terrorism and this war on terrorism is doomed to fail. Terrorism hides behind rocks and trees and kills our soldiers and civilians without warning. One day Iraqi children will dose off in class as there teacher lectures on about the ignorance of a country that was blinded by its power so badly that they couldn’t see that they were quickly becoming the punch line to political jokes. It is time to get out this. It is not a war that can be won. I don’t believe anyone really learns from history but if they if our leaders were smart enough to look back across the sands of time they would realize that this is not our fight. The fight in the middle east is not one that America needs to police. It is not our problem. We don’t understand the determination that comes with faith. Because we have traded ours for plasma TVs and SUVs and WMDs. What is the answer now that we were lead blindly into a fight we can not win. Suck it up and admit that we have lost. Fold the losing hand and cut our loses. Then spend the remainder of our chip stack on defending ourselves. Because after the bully takes a punch in the face every pimple faced wimp wants a piece of him. It will come but if fight until we cant fight anymore we will surely be destroyed

I wanted to share this, it's not a question, so don't report me. This is the end of a beautiful poem about a civilian and a soldier on Christmas Eve. Just something to make you think, and a small thank you for our servicemen and women and their loved ones who will be spending this holiday apart. Thank you for keeping America safe.

"But isn't there something I can do, at the least,

"Give you money," I asked, "or prepare you a feast?

It seems all too little for all that you've done,

For being away from your wife and your son."

Then his eye welled a tear that held no regret,

"Just tell us you love us, and never forget.

To fight for our rights back at home while we're gone,

To stand your own watch, no matter how long.

For when we come home, either standing or dead,

To know you remember we fought and we bled.

Is payment enough, and with that we will trust,

That we mattered to you as you mattered to us."

The Government is imposing laws, that as adults we should e able to make our own decisions. It would make more sence if they can't accept this, is to pass a law prohibiting young people under 18 in smoking permitted places.

According to a Newsweek Article, on msnbc.com, Iraq's Economy is doing extremely well, despite the ongoing sectarian struggles. Do you think if the upward economy continues to grow, as it has, that there is some chance for reconciliation in the country, some chance for peace? Can a vastly improved economy help end the Sectarian violence? Will it even be reported that there are positive things happening in Iraq?

Is that how conservatives truly feel about the world around them? Isn't she the poster-child for the religious right? What do you think is more of a sin in God's eyes: polluting aka "raping" the earth OR standing in the way of capitalism by enforcing strict pollution laws?

My best friend left and supposably went to Florida ( 1600 miles away) in 2003 and has not been heard from since then. He did nothing wrong and is an adult, therefore the police will not look for him. I would like to know where in FL he is. He is not listed in Class mates, Reunion, any public records or phone books. I know he is definately in FL.around the west coast. I have used pay internet sites with no results. I tried FL Public Records civil court records ( IE:traffic violations ) and he is not listed! Any suggestions?

There had been a fire next door the day before and I have a lot of bamboo in my yard. It burnt some of my yard. And then the next evening I was outside and saw a flame and I went through the bamboo and there was an old tree on fire. And I called the F.D., and they came and didn't put out the fire. My neighbor and I had to put the fire out ourselves. Should/Can I sue them? What would you do? I have already talked with the City Manager and he just said, "I'm sorry," but is that enough? And our area was in a burn ban???

As I look through these postings, which are a good look at average americans and their views and attitudes one thing constantly comes up. Devisive language when dealing with political parties.

Am I the only one who thinks that "All liberals are terrorists and scum" and "all conservatives are war mongering redneck assholes" are poor arguments about policy, and serve to hold us back as a nation?

But it asks the question? Why dont the UN do something with Darfur? Why do they expect us to do something.
Though when Iraq "needed " their help in freeing them from the WMD * chuckle* we ignored the UN and gave them the helpful invasion and helpfully killed over 600,000 of them, and even helped them more by plunging their country into civil war.

Wait a second thought lets not help Darfur. things are bad enough there without America bumbling in and making things worse.
