"God gave us the earth. We have dominion over the plants, the animals, the trees. God said, 'Earth is yours. Take it. Rape it. It's yours.'" Fox News; Hannity & Colmes; June 20, 2001

Is that how conservatives truly feel about the world around them? Isn't she the poster-child for the religious right? What do you think is more of a sin in God's eyes: polluting aka "raping" the earth OR standing in the way of capitalism by enforcing strict pollution laws?

It makes me feel like I want to smack someone. Sure, Ann Coulter definitely speaks her mind, milking the free speech rights of this country, but when anyone who disagrees with her tries to take the free speech spotlight, she declares we must smother them. Now, I am a liberal, but I know that even many conservatives are not in full agreements with many of the things she has to say. She spends her free time writing whole books about how stupid liberals are, making herself look stupider in the process. She is ignorant and politically incorrect, as well as a myriad of other things.

When was the last time you read Genesis It says that God gave dominion over the world. It can be interpreted that God gave man the authority to do as he pleases with the natural resources and that man is not apart of this world but above it. It is our God given right to have dominion... In other words, we have the prerogative to 'rape' the land if we chose. Ann Coulter does satire well, but you have to recognize it for what it is. I look at the passage as God saying, "I gave you this paradise called earth and if you want to turn it into a wasteland, Hey!...not my problem."

We should be good stewards and when we are not, we are raping the natural resources. She could have been directing that comment to the far right to demonstrate the absurdity of the concept. It is a caricature of some of rhe arguments used by the religious right. Not all conservatives are the religious right.

No, not all conservatives like her. She's a radical conservative. She sickly twists her views...just because conservatives aren't as environmentally-friendly, doesn't mean any of them would make an idiot statement about "raping" the Earth. Ann Coulter is sick.

Just like many liberals hate Michael Moore.

Other of her heartless, ignorant personal quotes:

"Swing voters are more appropriately known as the 'idiot voters' because they have no set of philosophical principles. By the age of fourteen, you're either a Conservative or a Liberal if you have an IQ above a toaster."

"Liberals can't just come out and say they want to take more of our money, kill babies, and discriminate on the basis of race."

"My only regret with Timothy McVeigh is he did not go to the New York Times Building."

"There are lots of bad Republicans, there are no good Democrats."

[In response to people's criticism of her use of false and misleading information in her books] "Liberals take sheer joy in telling lies, they take insolent pleasure in saying absurd things."

"I love it! You know, when I tour college campuses, I always find that the prettiest girls in the room are the ones in the College Republicans."

"It would be a much better country (the United States) if women did not vote. That is simply a fact. In fact, in every presidential election since 1950 - except Goldwater in '64 - the Republican would have won, if only the men had voted."

"What if they start having one of these bipolar episodes with nuclear weapons? I think our motto should be, post-9/11, 'Raghead talks tough, raghead faces consequences.'"

"Finally, a word to those of you out there who have yet to be offended by something I have written or said: Please be patient. I am working as fast as I can." June 21, 2006.

"Democrats won't acknowledge the existence of "an imminent threat" any place in the world until a nuclear missile is 12 minutes from New York. And then we'll never have the satisfaction of saying "I told you so" because we'll all be dead. " July 19, 2006.

At least she speaks her mind. Isn't the USA all about freedom of speech? As a staunch conservative, or Republican, she is dedicated to what she truly believes in. I would definitely say the same things about the opposing party when defending my own party. For example, I am a very liberal person who defends views/issues such as abortion, stem-cell research and Marxism, i.e. Democrat, and I would say that conservative people are Protestant, money-grubbing capitalist pigs. I think everyone should have that right to say what they want to say. So we can't really persecute the other party for taking advantage of that right of freedom of speech. She really believes in conservatism, so she should be able to express whatever she believes in without persecution. She just says what conservative people are thinking, no matter how stupid of a way she says it. Let her have her say!

I have not heard the full transcript!
But if you quoted correctly.........she was taking a hit at it. In other words she may have been trying to make a comment, that would get people to see~~~ that what we have done, is criminal to this planet!
Sometimes, you need to read between the lines, and see if it was menat to be taken...as told...or made to be taken quite bold!

I apologize on her behalf.. but you have to take on board that she is the result of Conservative upbringing, where women are normally considered the plaything of men. This has permeated her thinking and unfortunately she gets airtime to spew her hate.
