I worked for company A for 3 years. They renewed my H1-B visa then transferred me out of the country so I can launch a product line. Although I am with the same company, I was then obtaining my paychecks outside of the USA. They decided not to revoke my H1-B in order to insure that I can return to the USA periodically to be informed of new technologies. Now I reentered the USA then quit company A and obtained work with company B. At the moment my H1-B is in process for transfer. No news has been relayed to me to let me know if the transfer was accepted. Is my situation going to jeopardize my current application to change my status to green card based on my wife's petition? If anyone can help me, please respond to this question. I really need advice on this matter.

I'll be 18 in over a year, but I am in 'good' physical shape. I wasn't born in the U.S.A, but I do believe we should fight to preserve this great nation... I do not like war, I hate war... I feel the only time we should enstate a draft is if we get invaded, not to fight an 'undeclared and illegal' war in Iraq.

I currently reside in Texas and am compelled to seek custody of my daughter, but I know it is an extremely difficult matter in Texas. Her mother is extremely unstable and unfit to offer a suitable environment for my daughter. The most recent example is that she committed an act of assualt and battery by contact on the 16th of December against me. She was cited by the local authorities on this matter and must have it resolved in early January. Although the contact was not terribly painfull, it was unwanted and occured in the company of our one-year old daughter. She has acted violently towards me in the past as well. Her instability is also documented by her issuance of threats to the individual I'm involved with, myself and through my parents as well. These threats involved personal harm and professional harm to our careers. She is extremely bipolar in nature and I believe has been documented with such a disorder. She has threatened suicide on multiple occassions. Do I have a chance?

People say that the holocaust deniers are trying to revise history so that the state of Israel is artificial and illegitimate. But what I'd like to know is, what on earth could the holocaust have to do with the state of Israel. Zionism existed as a concept before Nazism, and long before Adolf Hitler. How does a genocide against a people give that people the right to steal the land of another people, slaughter them, torture them, and imprison them without trial?

I am doing research for a debate topic, and the opposition keeps stating that rights can be removed by due process of the law. I am highly skeptical of this, and am looking for a more definitive, unbiased answer.

For reference, the debate is for the leaglization of castration of sex offenders. I am opposed to this, as I believe it is cruel and unusual punishment, protected against by the 8th Amendment. As "All men are created equal," I find it hard to believe that while all are granted rights, some can lose them. As much as I do agree that we need better punishment for sex offenders, I don't believe in allowing our government to rape our rights in the process. Any help or information would be great, even if is contrary to what I think, or a point that I am trying to make.

I'm trying to understand something. If the First Amendment to the Constitution says "...the Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion...," with the phrase "make no law" being the operative element, unless that means the Congress is responsible, also as a matter of law, not simple inference, for creating laws to prevent such a respect, why is it the Congress, or even the Supreme Court's, business if religious displays is put on public land? I understand public discomfort, though I'm not sure how compelling that is on legal grounds, but if the Congress didn't make legislation compelling the displays, what exactly is the Constitutional violation in religious displays on public land? Where is it wit regards to government buildings?

It's been 3 years now. And US forces haven't even secured Baghdad, outside of the Green Zone. And no, the Green Zone is not a park garden in the heart of beautiful downtown Baghdad!

Any military expert will tell you that this is a disgrace of planning. How much longer will this go on?

Do these Bush guys even have a clue?

I don't understand why my husband has to be deployed a third time when there are guys that have been in the military for 15 years and haven't been deployed once. My husband is a hard worker, I don't understand why his NCO's treat him like crap. He covers for them all the time. I am very proud of what my husband does, but he isn't the only one that joined the military.
