I wish I could answer this question optimistically, but I just do not think that this is possible. There will likely be a civil war. Also, it will be hard for any leader that is elected democratically to remain in power and/or to enforce laws/power. It is likely that someone will step up and that the country will again fall back into the era of being ruled by a leader with absolute power.

yet another individual who purely listens to a million/2 of the story and makes up something. McCain would not opt to maintain the Iraq conflict going for a hundred years. He in no way mentioned that. He in no way implied that. it particularly is purely made up. He did say that there ought to be troops in Iraq for a hundred years yet he has in no way even inspired that. He purely stated the prospect as quickly as. i like how human beings attempt to tie Bush and McCain to grease companies yet constantly ignore that Al Gore's fortune all got here from oil. Neither Bush nor McCain choose the conflict to final a hundred years. they have the two called for the troops to be bumped off as quickly as achieveable yet Bush did no longer opt to set a time table with out the Iraqi enter. Now that the Iraqi's are waiting to take over, the Bush administration has been discussing the timetable with them. the U. S. public voted out the "Rubberstamp Republicans" in 2006 and as a substitute have been given a team of Democrats that have persisted to fund the conflict they have been supposedly against with out question. fairly some stable it did.

Ya know, we've been in Bosnia for, what, 10 years? Same with Haiti? How long we been in South Korea??? 50+ years?
No one wants to stay in Iraq for a day longer than we have to. However, the consequences should that place descend into anarchy is too much to consider. We'll be there until it is done, Dem or GOP President.

I don't think there is a "democratically" elected Government in Iraq now. If so where is their Governance seen. If US leaves, the so called Government also will leave.

Iraq will go right back to what it was. Some strong-arm, mean, evil dictator will wrest control. It's the Iraqi way. We can't change it. They don't want to change it.
