Can someone give me the bbc.co.uk link which refers to Tony Blair promising the Nation that "whatever our troops want, our troops will have"

The speech was made recently - certainly within the last 3 months but since re-formatting my computer, I have lost the link which was saved in my Faves :-(

The speech was very clear in his meaning.

I ask the question because of the absolute shock of a young Marine being killed this week in Afghanistan allegedly by small arm fire even though he was wearing a UK issue "flak-jacket"

Many thanks

Which do think is the focus of this side of the debate? In my last question, someone posted that the right has some sort of conspiracy to concentrate power to the alpha male. I see almost no evidence of this in pro-life arguement, but I'm interested in what people think.

Where is the focus? Are pro-lifers using this issue to opress women or promote life? If they are trying to opress women, why are many of the most devote pro-lifers women?

We have five children. The oldest (a girl) joined last July. We fully support the military and encourage all of our children to serve their country as a tribute to America.

Here's a decent link to a major part of the problem. Take notice of the percentage related to BCBS vs. Canada's entire administrative costs then multiply that the rest of our states and the lumps should be hitting the fan. My employer's pay over 4$ an hour towards my benefit package and although I am paying into the group coverage, I have no means to reap the benefits of all the combined monies I pay in--considering that once I am unemployed for one-quarter I am required to pay cash out of pocket (around 600$) per quarter in order to remain covered. All of us should stand together and write our legislators supporting the newly elected Democratic Congress future efforts to produce and pass a National health care plan!!!

my step sister, her boyfriend and their son live in the uk.
they have been in rented accomadation for over a yr now, without a tenancy agreement, landlord refuses to give them one.they pay their rent every month, but have gotten behind.they have no proof of paying rent because they have no rent book or reciepts, they have got behind a couple of months rent, and the landlord said to them today that they will be out before christmas if they dont get a loan or something to get the money together.theres no way they can do that, they are on a very low income.i understand they have squatters rights and that the landlord must still get a court order to get them out, but where do they stand if he makes his way into the house?they just need to stay in the house till just after christmas, and are happy to go in a bed and breakfast for a short time after christmas but they dont want to ruin the 2 yr old sons christmas by moving before in a b&b. is there any hope to stay put till new year? plz help.

My friend is concerned about these kids that live in Michigan. They're mother doesn't cook or clean, and the step father cares for them. The step father doesn't allow the kids to do their homework until the house is clean. The step-father drinks a lot, the parents fight all the time. Step-father took out the youngest daughter with him while he was drunk to a hotel because him and his wife got into a huge argument. The kids are forced to leave their keys behind when they go out of town, when they return, they have to wait sometimes an hour or longer to wait for one of them to return from home. The house is disgusting. Nobody cleans it, the 2 older children are barely home because it's so disgusting and the environment is not ideal for them to want to be there. There also isn't a house phone. IS that enough to do an investigation on the house?

In a Christmas cost cutting effort, I cut down a nice pine tree from my town green late last night. Now today there are little chipmunks in my house and some kind of weird moths scattering all over the place. I think some of the chipmunks even got in the walls!!! Is this something city hall is responsible for? The extermination costs?

I believe we should, as I believe that each person should understand the rights given and the responsibilities taken on as citizens before becoming an official citizen of the United States. This does NOT mean that certain rights granted in the Constitution would not apply as these are, in many cases, basic human rights.

What do you think? And why?

I keep hearing people make the argument that illegal immigrants have more rights than legal resident aliens or citizens. I'm curious exactly what rights people think they have that others don't.

Clearly not any of the rights reserved in Article IV or the 14th Amendment for citizens. Clearly not any of the protections from the 1st, 4th, 5th or 6th Amendment, which apply to everyone.

So, exactly what rights do Illegal Immigrants have that legal residents do not?
Oh, and please cite your sources. Saying "they can do X and legal residents cannot" is meaningless unless you provide some source other than rumor.

The best physicians are here in the United States. This is where they can get a decent pay check because we don't have socialistic national healthcare! (Only problem here is that they have to pay sky-high malpractice insurance premiums.)
We really need to make tort reform a political issue in 2008. It is the only way to get healthcare costs down. The majority of doctors don't like to charge ridiculous fees. Reforms do not have to forbid lawsuits in legitimate cases of malpractice. But good reform measures would prevent $65 million lawsuits when a much, much lower amount would suffice.

A lot of Americans view President George W. Bush as controversial. Who do you think among the past U.S. presidents were similarly controversial?. How would you compare them to him, better or worse?. What I mean by controversial here refers to those policies made by the president whose impact greatly divides public opinion.

This is a link that talks of the problem on the east coast but the west is even worse.
In Kern County Ca. an illegal convicted of molesting a 13 year old was given 3 years because in the view of a liberal judge the tax payers should not have to pay for his upkeep in prison. The illegal was convicted previously on similar charges to a 15 year old but cut a deal and was released.
I personally would be willing to pay for his exacution.
