So yesterday on the city bus this guy started talking to me and he asked some harmless questions, but because I was so stupid to answer I told him I was a freshman and I was 14, at the time I wasnt thinking oh hes probably a creep but apparantly he is, even after I answered he said I looked pretty fine, I know this isnt a crime but do I have to wait until it happens? Theres no way to avoid him because he waits at the same bus stop. Please help!

In 2005, the average worker made ~$34,000. That equals a 14.88% tax rate on average assuming it was all taxable. Assuming you are average and the majority of taxes are paid by higher income individuals with tax rates in the 25%+ range, would you be willing to weight your own tax rate to 18% or so for fairness?

How many people would actually vote to increase their taxes by 3%+ to make taxes fair for all in this country?

This topic is really racking my brain the last 2 days after i learned that Kevorkian made the news. I myself think people should mind their own business. If they want to die, let them! Would you like to wake up in bed day after day not being able to move, and in a pool of your own feces, and urine? I would not! You also would put your loved ones through a long saga of sorrow seeing you like that. Its not like Kevorkian picked a name out of a hat everyday, and said "lets kill this one". Ive seen his HBO special, and he actually discussed the cases with his accociates before assisting in his or her suicide. He didnt help out just anybody. I think if people euthanasia was around when the bible was written, maybe things could of been different.

Virtually anyone who is a homeowner gets bombarded every day by junk mail, spam, TV and radio ads associated with mortgage re-financing this has resulted in Americans re-structuring their loans in massive (record) numbers allowing them to use their property like ATM machines.

Because the cash freed up by these actions have generated thousands of dollars more than the income tax cuts, how can Bush supporters claim that the strong economy was the result of Bush's policies?

Looking for some law advice here, and if it would be possible for any employee to sue, if there is illegal activity going on here.

As far as i know, random drug testing is illegal (now) in Rhode Island. Drug testing is only allowed if a spedific employee is suspected of useing drugs due to job performance, or it is also allowed as part of pre-employment (i think).

here is what happened: the Hotel i was working for was sold and baught by a new company. There was an official "take over" as of Nov. 1. A few days before this we all filled out aplications, as well as other documents, to be "hired" by the new company, even though we were already working there, the same staff was kept, except for some that choose to leave (mostly bosses). For almost two months we were working under the new owners, and getting payed by them, new management replaced most of our bosses. so i would assume that due to this we would be considered employess of the new company, wouldnt you think? continued....

I heard this morning that a democrat senator had some sort of brain-bleeding and will take a long time to recover from surgery. The people who answer "bush must be lying" clearly have no concept what so ever of how the economy works or the state it is in. It doesn't benefit Wall Street in anyway to inform people that the economy is strong. If anything, they would be the ones screaming if it wasn't.

For localities like city agency who deal with contractors, can they have a lump-sum budget, I mean without detailed lines especially for salaries? what govern the budget requirement or standards?
I am asking that because a contractor has ask my employer, a local government, that they cancel the budget lines and have a lump sum budget and let the details at the end of the year. Is there any rule, directives that prevent that?
