Yes, well during the latin explosion (ricky martin, shakira, Eva Longoria and the rest) everybody loved everything that had to do with latinos. It was "En Vogue" to listen to the music and be associated with the latin culture, "dance la macarena" and loved the latin sound. Yet when it comes to the latin people, or the carrib island brothers from the dominican or haiti, they do not want them to be here. I do see your point. Its like "i like your music, i like dancing "la macarena", but i don't like you trying to move into my neighborhood". Racisim does exist in the USA.....just ask any black or brown person in America. So yes, It is possible to like Ricky Martin or Eva Longoria, yet still be racist towards latino people.

You are way off...Apocalypto has to do with the MAYAN indians, not the Mexican people who are only partial descendants. Where are you getting the information that America loves this movie, I don't even think it is out yet...I don't think that Salma Hayek brings much to the table in regards to "Mexican Culture". She is just a hot chick.

The only thing I like about Mexico is the food.

at the same time as I easily believe that immigration guidelines must be enforced (and that i'm a Democrat), I even believe that we somewhat haven't any decision yet to furnish asylum. end Hating for a minute, that is why you need to love them (a touch besides). In Harris County,Texas (the position Houston is positioned), it truly is envisioned that a million million unlawful extraterrestrial beings now stay interior of its borders. If each and each and every of the unlawful extraterrestrial beings were deported, it would spoil the monetary gadget of the realm. unlawful extraterrestrial beings are not paying earnings taxes, because they're continually operating jobs for money or contract exertions (no taxes are withheld) . Giving unlawful extraterrestrial beings asylum will carry them onto the tax rolls; ending courtroom circumstances they're utilizing amenities with out go back to the taxpayers. Many unlawful extraterrestrial beings entered this u . s . as small little ones. some do no longer communicate Spanish and can't function in Mexico. allowing those human beings asylum will enable them to stay generic lives and make a contribution to society. finally, ( a minimum of in Texas), many unlawful extraterrestrial beings for years were purely migratory farm workers, following the once a year harvests. Others have come the following to flee abject poverty, does no longer you? Peoples from international huge flee poverty.

I think that the government and the taxpayers just want every body who is here to pay their fair share of taxes. There are a lot of really great programs that are in our country and it seems that a lot of immigrants are using these services without paying into them. I think that media and the location of Mexico puts alot of the focus on the immigrant issue being only Mexican people but really there are a lot of people in our country illegally that are here from other countries.
So, really if people would stop buying into the hype...it would be more obvious that it is not JUST Mexican people.

Mexican Culture and illegal immigration are two totally different things. You can like Mexican culture, but not like the fact that your economy is being hurt by illegals who hold no allegiance to your country. I can like Salma Hayek and not give an illegal a hand out.

salma hyeck represents about as much about Mexican culture that George Clooney represents about American,,,She is a mexican elite class, she is more American cultured in her life,,

Selena the pop artist would be a better choice,,becuase she was from an illegal immigrant family in America and got shot by a jealous girlfriend when she was taking away her man,,,now what is more Mexican than that,,lol

as soon as I hit the big one eight even though
I want to move to a Reservation. But to anyone

I don't care what culture you like or don't like.It has nothing to do with not wanting illegal aliens in this country. After all as we are told often enough on here that not only Mexicans are illegal aliens.I don't care where you are from or what your food tastes like ,if you come here via the illegal route then you need to go back to your own country. We also know what we as legal Americans like and we respect your need to remember where you came from. But we Americans also remember where we are from and we aren't going to have our way of life changed either. You cant have it both ways.If you live and work legally and are raising your family.,here in America. Are you teaching them allegiance and loyalty to the USA or to Mexico?

They are hypocrits, they love certain aspects and hate others. Salma may be half Lebonese, but she is 100% Mexican. She was last seen touring Mexico and latin America helping Aids victims, how is that for "elite class". As for the Mayans having nothing to do with Mexico, what the hell???!!! They are one of the major indigenous groups of that country and their culture still lives on. People just want to love parts and still Hate that Mexicans come and dont forget who they are!

I don't really like Mexican culture except for the food. But I have no problem with Mexican immigrants if they are legal and they learn English.
