Cuba is a tiny country, but it STILL has the best Health-Care, Literacy and Education standards in the developing world - (not to mention better than many in the developed West TOO...!)

And all achieved DESPITE the USA's relentless hostility and crippling sanctions aimed at its distabilization - INCLUDING Washington's repeated attempts to assassinate Cuba's magnificent leader, the great Fidel Castro...!!!

Naturally, Cuba is materially impoverished - but in almost every way that counts it is a shining beacon to the rest of the world and a marvellous example of how to defy the USA's Evil Empire...

offending some individual or their culture. since the terrorist attacks in london we have experienced an upsurge in patriotism by the majority of brits. the do good brigade are complaining that are patrioyism is offending others.i am not against imagration nor anyone who is seeking a better life by comming to britain however they need to understand. the idea of britain being multicultural is serving only to dilute our sovreignty and OUR national identity as britons we have our own culture, society ,language and lifestyle, this has been developed over centuries of wars struggles and victories fought by masses of men and women who laid down their lives for freedom. we speak english not spanish arabic polish or any other language there fore if u want to become part of our society learn english" in god we trust" is our national motto this is not a right wing christian slogan but is because we are christian if god offends u go and live in another part of the world >>>> to b cont

"Apologies

On May 21, 2001, the French National Assembly voted the Taubira law which recognized slavery as a crime against humanity [14].

At the same time the British, Spanish, Dutch and Portuguese delegations blocked an EU apology for slavery[citation needed].

The issue of an apology is linked to reparations for slavery and is still being pursued across the world. For example, the Jamaican Reparations Movement approved its declaration and action Plan.

In September 2006 it was reported [15] that the UK Government may issue a "statement of regret" over slavery, an act that was followed through by a "public statement of sorrow" from Tony Blair on November 27, 2006[16]

Maybe WWII genocides would not happen if people involved in slavery and genocide of Indian and African slaves were found?

Since being on this message board i have seen alot of questions or comments all about how Bush should be impeached, or how he sucks as a president and etc....

I admit Bush isn't the greatest person on earth nor do i agree with many of his policies BUT unfortunatley in this day and age the world is not an easy place to live in, yet alone lead the world's greatest power...

Alot of people are very critical to many decisions he made, but honestly it's not an easy job ...

ANYWAYS my main point is that isn't it time that we gave Bush a break and stop hating so much?

he's not going to get impeached and he's going to be around for another 2 years so instead of complaining shouldn't we play a more active role in the government? and i dunno maybe VOTE if we don't like whats going on?!
