If global warming is a fact; and oil will run out: Why would China or India, given a choice, choose to model their economies after the United States? Aren't they placing themselves in the same quandry of having to change or die?

India and China are studying what will happen to their future since they have booming economies. Time will tell how effective they are in addressing global warming with regards to their economy.

Global warming is a fact but I have never seen where it has been proven that man causes it. Only theories. It's kind of funny in the 60's some of the same scientists who stay employed only by government money said that the glaciers melting back then were proof of global cooling. lol I just heard about a study on the news that the rising population of cows is probably the biggest contributor to global warming because of the methane they expel. But again just a theory. It's weird about oil they just keep finding more and more of it. Some think it is something that the earth makes not the remains of dinosaurs. but just another theory. And China and India scare the hell out of me. We got to watch them as well as the crazy mideast freaks. What has happened to our world??

i wouldn't really say that China or India is following in the steps on the US, lets remember China although they have made many capital adjustments to their economy are still communists!

The interesting thing about China and India is yes they do need the oil, but they are also making more advancements and investing in more research in high-tech firms adn science, they are trying to find alternate sources of energy because they know oil will run out and it's not like the US is really sharing much oil with them...

just some facts to put out there is that
the US' growth per annum is at 5%
China is at 10% and India is at 8%

their coming up and we shouldn't under estimate them
