Gujarat riots should have been avoided. As an Indian i dont feel Its anything be proud of.

But did you ever give a thought how and what instigated it?

Three whole compartments of a train(minimum 72 people in each and most of them women and children in them) were burnt by muslims, few from muslim community spoke up. Then they said it happenned because someone in train eve teased a muslim woman. as ridiculous as this excuse was to burn 72 people in train alive the facts show that it was pre-planned attack.

Nobody could come out of that apartmemnt. The eye witnessed said the mob of muslims poured gallons carosin on compartment and made sure that anybody can not come out.

The cold replies and excuses angered hindus finally and for the first time muslims were attacked in the aftermath with such ferrocity in Gujarat . They were lucky that this riot stopped within days. I never support riots commited by Hindus . But I doubt any community would have able to tolerate the Godhara and the flimsy excuses following it.

You are talking about Indian tolerance? You forgot Mopala ,Muradabad riots, Recent Mau riots ..... to name a few among thousands of riots started by Muslim against Hindus.

You did not mention that just last year Hindus did not retaliated against Mau riots.

You probably ignore these riots because Hindus do not mention these riots every other day. But tolerated it and let go.

Hindus were killed in India because some idiot somewhere at the other side of the globe decided to publish some cartoon.The dead probably did not even heard or saw those cartoons.

Not to mention constant terrorism on Indian soil by Muslims. Or 1300 years of Islamic onslaught....

Despite this background Muslims get equal rights in India as anybody else. In fact more rights. They get to have their personal laws according .

Recent destruction of temples and houses of Hindus in Kajaklhistan is well know. There was no retaliatery action in India. Nor the destruction of Krsihna temple in Lahaur , some time back, generated any counter action in India.

Gujarat riots might have been avoided if Politicians and Muslims had taken any action to assauge feelings of victims families of Godhara.

Instead they made excuses and tried to blame victims themselves. As the burned bodies started to reach home , general feeling of anger and emotions caused the riots. A timely Sorry and condemnation of the Godhara act by Muslims might have reduced the tention.

Off course I am not justifying Gujarat..... Muslims say Godhara was because of Babari mosque (yet again...). Hindus say Babari was actually Rama Temple . And its historical fact that Muslims did destroy more than 3000 temples...including Rama temple in Ayodhya, kashi Vishvanath temple in Varanasi and Krishna temple in Mathura.

Most of the famous mosques in India are built on debries of
temples. We have Atali Devi ki Masjid(mosque).

How long disputed structure of Babari Mosque is going to be an excuse for heinious acts like burning down three compartments of a train ?

If we take Muslim argument in account they should pay for onslaught they started in since early 8th century..

You might note that after recent Mumbai train blast was not retaliated by Hindus.

At the same time , Muslims did speak up this time. There were condemnations issues quickly. And Many Muslims volunteered for blood donation to victims.

This helped a lot in calming down the general anger too.

Its proof that any people can be whipped into a frenzie of intolerance by unaccaptable behavior of a few irrational radicals, who will use this for their own political gain. Learn this from history. Do not blame, because everybody could have done the same thing in a similar situation. Be glad it's over and try to work towards greater harmony than animosity. It's the only thing that will move a country forward

That incident and everything that lead to it, is kind of similar to what is going on in Iraq today.

Its just the other way around. Years & years of tolerance towards pakistani backed islamic terrorism has given rise to this behaviour.

Even though its bad, but there is always a limit to tolerance also.

because of the fact something that the whites do is justified as a sturdy element, mutually as others are consistently incorrect. like the war on Irak, people observed because it "saving the individuals" and eu colonialism of Africa and Asia became justified by ability of "civilizing the individuals"!!!!!!!!

it is not indian terrorism, it is rather the nasty face of indian politicians. so please dont blame indians for this, blame power hungry politicians for this...
