Very much so, Interpol is the world’s largest international police organization, with 186 member countries. Created in 1923, it facilitates cross-border police co-operation, and supports and assists all organizations, authorities and services whose mission is to prevent or combat international crime

there is also an agency called Europol.

Europol (the name is a contraction of European Police Office) is the European Union's criminal intelligence agency.

Most powerfull and effective International Police force today.
They like to keep in the background.
This keeps and affords them whom they are.
Headquartes of Interpol are located in Lyon France

Interpol is still operating but only in discreet operations and their activities are not relayed to media. The local police are the ones being credited of their operations to avoid being detected by syndicates.

Yes they are and they are very effective. It is not easy to get on there list. You will have to be in a lot of trouble. Only 1000 world wide get criminal warrants place on there list. They also have services for lost people, ill, or children missing worldwide

there taking or where taking a long overdue rest after much touring .
paul banks found there last album was very stressful to make and then they went straight on to touring .so maybe after tours finished they all took a long holiday and are now recording in the studio .cant wait for the there 3rd album to be released

Yes, they are still operating. They don't have much involvement here in the U.S., and that is why you don't hear much, if anything about them.
