No sir, it was a Pandora's box that was opened without fully understanding it potential for disaster. If it had been fully understood it would not have been used.

A nuclear facility is not needed for a developing country as long as there are sources of energy to boost the economy.

Nuclear power is necessary for a supply of cheap electricity. The biggest problem with developing countries having it, is the low value people place on life. Having somebody who is supposed to be monitoring the system fall asleep or play cards can result in in a big disaster. Unfortunately, developing countries do not have many responsible people.
