i hope people dont take this the wrong way. but i was wondering why he gets most the credit for the civil rights movment.i mean he did do a lot, but he was not the only one who helped during that period of time.i mean there were white people who gave up a lot for everyone to be equal but you never hear about it.and a lot of other black people who gave up a lot to fight for equal rights

As if world politics and U.S. policy were like rooting for the local sports team. Ever occur to them that admitting to and correcting mistakes will make us a stronger nation?

The denial over the events in Iraq are a classic example. A reality check, and acceptance of criticism, instead of flag waving 2 years ago, might have made the difference between success and continued failure in Iraq. Now the hole is dug so deep that it's starting to get filled in. With us at the bottom.

And as for backing the troops. They are simply brave professionals who follow orders. They don't make policy. And just because our troops are somewhere, doesn't mean they were sent there for the right reasons by the policy makers.

If false information was provided to me by a police dispatcher and resulted in a police not being sent out to obtain an accident report after I was hit and injured, would this be substantial grounds to sue my local police department? What happened was I was hit by an apparent drunk driver and when I called the police to obtain an accident report, the dispatcher wouldn't send one out. She told me unless my injuries were serious enough to the effect that I needed an ambulance a police would not be sent out. I told her that this was untrue (I know because I had previously called for a police officer to come out after someone backed into my car and no one was injured) and she told me it has been this way for the past few years. Because of her false information I am unable to obtain an accident report and a drunk driver continues to roam the streets. Can I sue?

I live in IL. I thought that the law states that an employee must take a break, even a 15 minute break, after six hours of work. My co-worker came to work at 7:00 a.m. today, and left at 2:00 p.m. with no break at all. I told her that I thought that this was illegal and she should look into it, but she didn't want to cause trouble with the boss. That is her choice, of course, but it got me to thinking about if this is really legal or not, should it happen to me.
Thank You. I would appreciate any answers that you may have regarding this.

Rice's Iran Strategy Fizzles, Cheney Waits in Wings

by Gareth Porter
Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice's months-long diplomatic effort to get five other powers to agree to a tough United Nations Security Council resolution on sanctions against Iran now seems certain to fail, because of Russian and Chinese resistance.
Last month, the Europeans circulated a draft that would have required that countries prevent the sale and supply of a long list of equipment, technology, and financing to all of Iran's nuclear and ballistic missile programs, including dual-use items and related technologies. It would have required that states "prevent the supply, sale, or transfer" of such technologies, ban travel by Iranian officials connected with either program, and freeze their assets..

For example the Bush twins and many others to go over to Iraq and help educate the people to run their country and in turn send our military home. If that was to be I bet the answer would be NO WAY from their families -- we donot want our children in harms way but then why is it okay to have our military in harms way ?

Two friends of mine were murdered. the RCMP had an informant who told them there was a contract out on them. The police didn't tell them because they said the informants life would be in danger and they would no longer have someone on the inside. The informant then committed suicide, before they were killed. The RCMP did not warn them or protect them. They were shot in thier living room while their baby slept in the next room. Shouldn't they be charged with something?????

Why do we have to keep remind ourselves of the differences we have. Past is past. no need to bring it back. We are humans. Instead of celebrating the difference, lets Celebrate the similarity. It comes down to the fact that we are humans and we are the same.

I am also against celebrating days that show the difference between humans.

we should reduce ourselves to human element, which is the simplest element.

thank you.

PS: I am afraid some people here may take this question in a wrong way and see me as a racist person, but I am actually quite the opposite. I HATE racism.

Many Democrats voted for Bush's war and for the "Patriot Act". The vote was 99 for and 1 against the Patriot Act. That means alot of the Democrats we voted for voted for it.
Why did we vote for the Democrats when they are just as bad as Republicans. Do we need a third party?

Please tell me what you think you are and give me a few reasons why. Also, tell me what religious sect you are, and which state you live in, but these are optional. I need to survey at least 100 people.
Go ahead and rant and rave about anything you want, just please tell me why you believe what you believe.
Thanks so much.

P.S. just for the record, I am very conservative, a lutheran, and i live in Wisconsin.

A foolish person like Siddhu, tried to make every one laugh in Star Show. He has abandoned his family for Money and BJP, for what.
He utters non-sense on TV, as if he is the only learened on the earth, and others are fool. He does not allow any one to talk. He addresses others in the most disrespectible fashion. He cant' say "Aap" to any one on TV even. In real life he is a fool. TV companies made money on his appearance. Now what.
