What do you think will be the biggest challenge to the global economy in the near future, U.S. imperialism or Islamic fundamentalism?

I HELLBENT, Santa's Saucy Liberal Helper, would have to say Islamic fundamentalism. They want to kill everyone who is not like them. You might see where that might cause a bit of a problem don't you?

The short answer is YES. Obviously both are going to be a serious issue.

I don't think we have enough information at this point to determine which will be the greater challenge. The next few years will be very pivotal. The USA needs oil, and if a lot of it wasn't in Islamic countries, we would pretty much ignore them. Without oil, there would be nothing attractive there, and they wouldn't have the money to cause problems.

If the USA for instance began seriously working toward alternative energy, then neither of them might be a huge problem.

im really not educated enough to answer this for sure, but i do know that china will become an increasingly huge global player in the very near future
1.3 billion people is not something to be underestimated, and their economy is growing, fast.

growth isnt a problem, so this doesnt answer your question, i just felt like throwing it out there

Neither, the biggest problem will be trying to balance supply and demand and regulating the economic structure for world trade.
